Not sure if this was asked for already but some reviewers were talking about how crafting materials and schematics take inventory space AND there is no storage chest system in skyhold to save your materials for later and some reviewers were forced to sell or destroy precious materials. I really don't like the sound of that and think it would be great if a storage system could be added doesn't seem that hard to me.

 

EDIT: Apparently there was some real misleading reviews and crafting materials WILL NOT take up inventory space. Only makes sense as I saw a video with a character who had 50+ Elfroot. Either way for some people who might never want to do something drastic like selling Bianca or Cassandra's seeker shield, people who have their inventory filled to the brim with different weapons for the many different ways they approach combat situations or people who have some high level gear that they are waiting to gain the ability to use this should be a viable option. It was an option in past games and most people expected it would be in this as well.

There was a storage chest you could get as part of a DLC in DA:O, and I'd love to see that make a return.

Not as a standalone DLC, but either a free item for fans (because it seems relatively simple?) or as part of a story/larger DLC.

Of course I haven't played it yet so I can't speak for the urgency of such a request, but it does seem silly we have this huge castle and we can't store anything. I'm also terrible at inventory management and despise it so. Would appreciate it!

Yeah, even if there was just a simple crate down in the crafting area you could throw extra weapons and armor into if you weren't a high enough level to make good use of it, or if you just wanted to save something for sentimental value.

I tend to sell everything I'm not currently using with absolutely no remorse, and I still think this was pretty ridiculous thing not to include.

Even Dragon Age 2 got this right, and that game was held together with twistees and duct tape. This needs to happen, and either in a patch or a free DLC.

As a major hoarder in most RPG's I need my Storage chest and or crate! So uh Bioware..yea gonna need a place to put my stuff!....PLEASE!!!!!!

I have an entire castle but no storage chest? This is absurd! One of the most powerful people in Thedas doesn't even have a storage. Gamlen (from DA2) had a chest for crying out loud! I was expecting a treasury at least.How disappointing...I hope Bioware patches it in soon after launch.

I do kinda remembering my storage crates being full of crap that I was either keeping around "just in case" and never ever used, or stuff that I didn't meet prerequisites for which now won't be an issue because of crafting so I confess to not being that upset about this.

 

Still, I'll sign for the benefit of my fellow forumites - some of whom seem in danger of aneurysm over this - and because I have to agree a castle with no storage is just a silly concept no matter what the gameplay design reason behind it may be.

yes please give us a chest in skyhold where we can store a unlimited amount of equipment in the chest. I am a big hoarder of big powerfully weapons in the game I like to hold on to. in dragon age 2 I think there was a storage chest where I could store equipment in once I got into the big mansion house. even something like that would be fine.

There is quite a lot of these thread about the lack of storage, but i agree, and will add to the bonfire, i find it completely ridiculous that such a big game as this don't have storage, look at every other big sandbox game out there either rpg not, have some kind of storage system for your items, make it happen BW in a patch, maybe even add it to the day 1 patch ( probably too late ).
