If the low settings are a good indicator of the last gen version graphics... Then I think I'm happy. Mostly. I really do hope my last gen version doesn't have the bad and obvious pop-in the low setting had and doesn't have the literal-plastic hair you'd expect on a lego. If the PS3 and 360 version have decent hair and far less pop-in, then I'm probably satisfied.

Low looks horrendous. Worse than DA2. And that playdough hair: YUCK.

And AA is a necessity. Looks really awful to see a game with hires textures not using any AA.

Here is a little article I found showing some screenshots taken from a i5-4670K with 8GB RAM @1333MHz and a GTX 770 2GB on high settings @ 1080p.

Not ultra, but it still looks pretty good.

It looks fine to me...except the hair, yes. Other than hair, though, It's still quite good. Not ideal, but definitely not "ugh".

I've seen some reviews complaining about too shiny armor, hair, lips etc. and plastic looking hair. They even deducted points from the score because of that.  It seems from the above video that this problem only appears with low graphics settings.

Could it be that those reviewers ran DA:I on outdated PC's or PS3, Xbox 360 and didn't know that their main complaint of the game was partly based on them running on a low spec system?

Other reviewers say the graphics is great.

From the video above I think ultra looks great and low is ok except hair and too shiny armor.  At least I know I have to upgrade my graphics card if it turns on I can't run on high or better quality.

Shiny plastic hair is so real on low.

I'd LIKE to reach ultra but know I won't be able to but please god let me at least not have to play on low.

My PC won't handle high graphics.  My card meets recommended but my CPU/Ram only meets minimums (had to upgrade my card--which previously didn't even meet minimums).  Aside from the shiny, plastic looking hair, it seems like I will be able to tolerate low settings at least till I can get a new CPU/Motherboard and more ram after the holidays.

Thanks OP, good find.

Yeah I pass all the minimums requirements I might be able to run medium with a few high settings because I am slightly in between the requirements. Still low looks really good save the hair.

wow, yeah, low looks really good. i noticed the shadows on low are almost the same as high, except of course for ambient occlusion, that was the big shadow difference.

did anyone have issues running DA2? i mean i can max skyrim and even ESO!!! but if i max out DA2 or even turn off a few DX10/11 features i still only get around 25-30 FPS max!!!???

anyone know how well the game is optimized for PC?

thinking of trying to move away from PS4 after seeing that video, and telling my brother too as well. we don't feel like paying for PS Plus just to play co-op.

he has a geforce 450 card, (not sure the exact model) it has at least 1 G of built in ram. i have a 550ti, which has shitty specs but handles high def games surprisingly well.

i need to find out what CPU and amount//type of ram he has, but i have 12G of DDR3, and i'm running a 2nd gen i5 @ 2.80Ghz.

wonder where my PC will fall on the great scale of PC GFX...

if i can set shadow textures to med, (which im used to doing in most games anyways) use the lowest ambient occlusion and godrays and other post processing stuff, with maxed textures and at least FXAA or AAx2/4 i would be happy.

do we know aht kind of AA the game has? just FXAA or does it also have AAx2 through x16 etc???

thansk in advance for any opinions or help, cheers!!! man 5 more days till nerdvana!!!!!

Not yet. I hope it's something that's typical and easy to fix though, like textures.

Luckily I don't have to play on low, but it still looks surprisingly good, it's nice to know I won't have to have shiny hair...that always bothers me lol

I'm playing on the 360 so I'm glad it still looks good on low. Not too worried about not having as many npcs on screen. Ha, I'll assume they are there.

Low looks almost like ultra, except for some details and effects (shaders). Good stuff overall.

The hair is certainly an eyecatcher.

On low it's too shiny.

On high it's drab and blurry.

I think I'll just see what graphics options are available, and hope there is some decent setting inbetween the two.

True the hair sucks on the low settings - but considering my computer is scraping by to be able to play the game, it really is wonderful news that we will get a really good looking game even at the minimum settings.

To be honest this just makes it look like they didn't go all out on ultra. Because there is so little difference between LOW and Ultra which is usually 4 graphical presets apart. Just HBAO, some lighting and AA, do not notice much else.

Grease slider, probably. It seems like it goes to 11.

Texture quality and mesh quality most likely.

Low looks acceptable, better than the previous two games. My brother will be playing on a Mac, so at least it won't have to look too bad.

Cassandra's hair on low reminds me of my Shepard in ME1 :_)

Trees and leaves improve a lot on ultra.
