Woah, that plastic hair looks really horrible. If I have to, I'll turn the resolution down to 720p to avoid it, but I never want to see that again.

It's like roadkill: you cannot not look at it.

This is what I plan on doing. I ran Watch Dogs on my laptop (AMD 8970M) with max settings at 1080p, but AA turned off, and got perfectly playable framerates, so I should be able to hang in there with "ultra" settings in DAI.

Well....given the recent tests, it seems I made the right decision when I bought my new shiny overclocked GTX980. I'll be able to play on max settings at 1440p, possibly with MSAA not pushed to the max to get the fps up from 32.

Low stills looks decent......but the hair.

Low looks really god actually, good job bioware. Nice for people that dont have supercomputers to max it. Still 60fps Ultra for me though.

Still can not be, even NWN2 had better hair, low-res and 10yrs old - but MUCH better looking.

Could they really release the game with such a mesh ? Considering that current tests show the game as a gpu+cpu-hungry one, plenty of people are going to play on 'medium' (if not 'low'). To me this 'low' hair is 100% unacceptable.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm misunderstanding you. You're getting butthurt about the way hair looks on the lowest possible settings?

How does Low look so good?

It actually looks a LOT better than I expected.

The major issues I see with it is the aliasing and drawing distance, along with the blurring. Otherwise it's pretty well done.

Considering the rest of the things look on low-res - yes, it looks absolutely horrible. And it could be game-breaking for someone  (like me). Not too many players are capable of running this game on full 'ultra'.

But I agree that it makes sense to wait for the release with all the first patches and driver updates to make the final judgement. We have no idea what the middle setting looks like.  And we're yet to see the old-gen picture. Someone had told that XB360 is going to look slighty better than PC low.

Apart from the hait and jagged edges, Low actually looks pretty damn decent. I'll probably be able to crank it to High wth my ATI R7 260x, hopefully this means no shiny hair.

Well, thanks for the reply.   :) (By the way, im using NV card (GTX660Ti). Obviously little old, but never had problem playing the games on High and Very High (Usually tweaking the shadow to low or medium, though (I usually keep the AA on decent setting) ) at the common 1980x1080 reso)

1920x1080 isnt that demanding normally for a good mid range card today.

hair without tressFX is like band aid on a elephant.

It works but wont look so good :)

Not today card, though (In/on my case). Btw, i said about that aspec, because i mentioned about the very high/high settings earlier. (Sorry for not being clear)  With much lower setting, it will not be demanding, obviously. (Even on 1080p)   :P

Hey, I have a question.

I could run DAO on medium/high graphics with ease, and DA2 on the lowest settings. I tried the "can i run this" program for DAI and I did pass all the minimum requirements. Does that mean that the game will run flawlessly on low?

Thanks in advance for this stupid question! I'm not a very computer savvy person, heh.

Wow, Low looks shockingly good.

Doesn't matter to me, though - getting it for PS4. But still. I played Origins on low mostly, and it was terrible.

Usually they release a certain requisite for both minimum and required, but most of the time, its lower than they show to the public. So, i would vote "Not flawless, but decent".

Maker, help me! I need to unsee the 'low' preset hair, asap....

Please, make it so that I can play at 'high' or 'medium'...

You are right. LOW = Plastic hair.  Well, I have a RD 7700 video card and hope for a medium setting.

You must be on a PC.

If Flawlessly = I can play the game, then yes.  Do expect some game glitches tho and forthcoming game patches. Reviewers mentioned video clipping at "high" settings and some tactical camera "problems". One reviewer mention his companion was talking but his mouth did not move.....

Not bad at all.  Yeah there are some obvious differences like the shiny look and stuff like grass missing on the ground, but really low isn't bad for those with weaker or older PCs.  I need to get a new PC soon, but if I ran this on lower graphic settings, it would still be a good experience.

Thanks to the terrible resolution of my ancient screen (1024x768) i should be able to have a decent graphic quality even if my GPU fall slightly below the recommanded specs (gtx 650 instead of 660).
