I can't remember seeing a thread like this before, but I don't *think* we've had one, so I hope it's ok if I start one. This is for the stories of the low-downest, dirtiest, most cheatingest BS the game has ever pulled on you during a match. Mine happened just earlier tonight.

 

In the last couple of days I've had stuff like Possessed Abominations popping through the closed reactor door to explode right in my face, and Banshee warp balls going straight through solid walls to hit me, but what happened earlier tonight is literally the most BS thing I've ever seen in a match. It was almost beautiful in a way, and I really wish I'd gotten video of it.

 

Condor Cerberus Gold. I'm up by the Makos or whatever near the EZ, right in line with the short ramp down to the lower level, and there's an Atlas halfway up it and coming toward me. I pulled out and fired my Cobra, but as soon as it left the launcher, the Atlas glitched straight up about 1 Atlas height into the air, the Cobra sailed right under its feet, and the Atlas dropped back on to the ramp. It was the most incredible bit of cheating I'd ever seen.

I was once sync killed by banshee. She was the last enemy of the wave and she was almost dead when it happened. And as she died, the game kind of....didn´t revive me, so I stayed dead for another whole wave.

Charged a Banshee when she was still throwing a Warp ball, she started screaming while I was right in the charging animation, and I was sync-killed half a sec later of course.

Hit a phantom with stasis. She proceeded to sync-kill me and end up in the bubble afterwards.

 

It was an incredibly laggy game to be fair.

The only clue were their weirdly glowing eyes, which I got to take a real good look at since they were a step away from me, about to grab me, and about to be shot dead by a weapon burst I couldn't stop in time - with predictable results. Haven't seen that particular bug before.

Yes, I often see that in laggy games. Animations simply go missing. Enemies climbing ladders, jumping up or dropping down is all invisible. They just appear without warning.

 

My favourite BS moment was the Invincible Husk. Laggy game on Giant, I was playing my Batarian Sentinel with the Kishock. A husk comes down the ramp, doing his zig-zag movement as he came closer. Each time I shot at him, the game slowed down a little and then sped up again, making me miss him. He even evaded the Submission Net. When he came closer I could see two harpoons sticking in his head... and he was still at full health. I switched to the Raider, fired all three (of two) shots at him and he didn't even blink. Humped me to death even while I was hitting the melee key. Complete BS.

Almost had another 10 Waves Survived Platinum solo. I'm cleaning up on the last two Banshees, right after I did the objective on Wave 10. I'm going around the corner, and I pull out my Missile Launcher. For some weird reason, they both decided to stop and throw a Warp ball. I released my rocket, and I try to dodge the Warp balls. No luck, I'm dead...good thing it killed the freakin' Banshees, but man: I was pissed. So pissed, that I lost focus and nearly lost the solo altogether.

Lol, so many that I honestly can't think of any one that stands out. Maybe the slayer glitch I had while playing with kouz and panda... That was really awesomely unsettling, lol XD

Oh, and Crash... There's a video around, I think from Hendrix (but I might be wrong), in which the same thing you described happens to him with a praetorian... TWICE. Lol XD

Still happens on occasion, especially when the host is a long way from here.

You basically had a clone of yourself, right? To me, it looked a bit like what happens when you spawn bots. Red screen, heartbeat, etc.

Well, I don't know how bots look like, but panda was hosting, and she sure as hell doesn't know how to do that, so... XD I still have no idea what was happening, I think it happened when I killed the last enemy in a wave exactly while he killed me, so I got up again once the wave was over, but my visual and controls switched to spectator mode XD

LOL, probably way too many things to mention in close to 3000 hours of game play. I've been killed by phantoms that were frozen, also some in stasis. I've had a total team wipe to an invincible hunter and shieldless guardian; although I MAY have had something to do with that. I guess the most frustrating thing was on a Plat solo, I had a rocket trooper get glitched and began volleying 8 rockets at a time, basically an autofire rocket trooper.

Anyway... Condor, Gold, vs. Reapers. Wave 10 Escort. Escort starts at the LZ and wants to go to the extraction zone. But, all the enemies spawn right in front of the Drone. We missile them away a few times and every time they respawn right in front of us. 2 Banshees, 2 Brutes, Ravagers...

 

Eventually two people get synch'd so me and the other guy run away to kite the enemies to the back ramp. We do so. Run back to the drone. Get it to the end of its escort, by which time the enemies have caught up. I missile away the two Banshees and they immediately respawn about 10 feet away.

 

I hate Escorts.
