Because who they have sex with is the most interesting thing about them?

 

Why they hold pride parades doesn't negate what goes on at pride parades and similar events, particularly in San Francisco. Public nudity, public sex, BDSM. Like I said, it's not staying in bedrooms and this kind of thing doesn't put LGBT causes, like adoption, in a positive light for a lot of people.

 

If you want to be treated like everyone else, then act like everyone else. I'm not saying, don't be gay; I'm saying have some decency in public.

What bums me out is that the more I get to know somebody the more I realize that this person is just another one of those run of the mill humans. Whatever happened to people with interesting hobbies, views and abilities? Has diversity finally died?
Nowadays its like everyone is a copy, all are interested in the same things, have the same views, thought patterns styles and are equally boring. People have become nearly indistinguishable.

I guess I have finally arrived in the age of mediocrity.

It ties into a phenomenon I find interesting in the past fifteen years - we have lost cultural identity. Look at the 50s, 60s, etc., all the way through the 90s. There are iconic styles of clothing, music, ideas and overall identity. Come 2000's and, suddenly, there is none of that. Disposable music, clothing, fads... Nothing to identify with, outside the increased use of smart phones, Internet and social media.

Maybe as we become more connected, we face rapidly diminishing returns on things to
the point where only the generic and widespread appeal items are adopted.

@Inquisitor Recon I made an entire thread on why I hate the term "social justice warrior" just seems lilke something gamers have coined whenever they want to get out on being called out on saying something ignorant. And yes, "racist homophobic bigot" is jumping to conclusions, but it's a bit ignorant and hateful to say " I don't think gay people should get married" and then provide pathetic reasons why.

Perhaps people don't take the time to justify their beliefs because their reasoning is preconceived to be pathetic. Part of being open minded is to listen to everyone and take wisdom from everything.
