Hello to all of you BSNers.

Instead of 16 page thread of costant bickering i thought that creating a thread in the feedback section was the correct thing to do so all of you that (apparently) cannot buy this game until a storage function is added can keep making a fuss over a trivial matter but at least you will do it in the proper section.

A storage would make sense this time around. We have been told that we can upgrade any armor throughout the game to make it last.

Some just don't want to go through the clutter

I haven't said that I can't buy this game if it hasn't got a storage function. Nonetheless, I see it as an extremely desirable feature by which you can avoid a lot of annoying inventory management. On top of that, it makes no sense to have a castle and no storage.

When I play an RPG I like to collect items and also like to have basic options such as a storage chest.

Bethesda understood this by going further and also placing armor and weapon stands for players to display the different gear they attained.

Here we have nothing? That sucks...

Dear Bioware

Please add a storage or a storage area in Skyhold. Maybe a storage area would be better. If you really wanted this game to be like Skyrim, and have the main character have a home, you should really have made it possible for the main character to have space
(a storage area of some sorts) , where her or she could drop items on the ground or in chests etc. Most castles I know of will indeed have an armory where you'll have the oppurtunity to store all your weapons. I'm asking this because I, as a player, like to, , not hoard, but save certain weapons for later use. And this has saved me many times in the past when playing both Bioware and other rpg games. Also, a whole castle that doesn't have a place to store weapons etc. that we don't use ? When there's room enough for it in the castle?

Can a storage chest be added as a dlc?

DLC? I hope they add one with a patch. It should've been in from the very beginning.

I don't understand why the people who have created this game didn't think that some kind of storage chest or area would be relevant to have especially with this game being an rpg.

I'm just going to play devil's advocate and ask why do you need a storage chest? Do you just want to hoard every single item you get or is their a valid reason? More than likely you'll be constantly cycling out old gear for new, so why would you necessarily want to keep old gear, especially if you have the schematic to craft it? While I admit it's odd Skyhold doesn't have an armory for you to stockpile gear, it's not like gear is entirely cosmetic. Most are likely going to wear what is better anyways, making all other gear worthless and not necessary. Not suggesting I'm against this addition at all, but is it really needed? That's the true question.

It is confirmed that there is no chest - it is not confirmed that there is no place within Skyhold to store your items.

We know we get a trophy room - "what" that entails is up for grabs.  None of the reviewers talked about Skyhold to my knowledge.

Bioware, "if" you have not provided hoarders with room for their inventories - please do so.  It seems an incredibly small thing to quiet a vocal crowd.

If there was a place to store within Skyhold your times, do you really believe people would be complaining to begin with?

A trophy room is not a place where you store gear. It's achievements and medals you gain along the way for your various choices and actions in the game. It's likely nothing more than a display room for special items. I doubt you'll be able to store gear there.

Why has no one talked about Skyhold? It's one of the new ambitious projects BioWare has incorporated into Dragon Age. I'd suspect it's a rather important place as it has so many features.

@Revan Reborn:  I do not believe it is unreasonable that reviewers - who rushed through 80 hours of gameplay to finish the main storyline to write their reviews - "may" have missed some key features... especially concerning things like Skyhold.

That doesn't mean there is some secret storeroom - but I will wait until "I" find that there is no storage space AND how that affects my playthrough.

That was either an oversight, or decided from a conversation I would have loved to hear.
"Hey fellow people who work at Bioware, let's make one of the big deals about a game, that we've used to promote more than any other feature- crafting! Now let's handcuff anyone and everyone trying to get the most out of crafting when playing this game, or who use it for FUN instead of practicality."

Wouldn't make much sense not to have an armory in the HQ of a military organization...

@Reven...I like to hoard items in games. I do not want to sell off or throw out items.

I find a storage chest useless, as the items in the storage chest would be useless and easily recreated in game through crafting and they have the added bonus of being level scaled that way.  However, I do like an armor stand.  If the company were looking for improvment dlc I would be more for more story or character design options like the mirror of transformation, more tattoos or beards, etc.  I don't see what use an item to make things disappear would be.

I like keeping special items after I stop using them, like collecting legendary/unique weapons and the like, I still sell everything else. RP wise it makes more sense that way too. I don't see a PC being like "Ooh nice blade, guess I'll throw away my Family Sword then" or "Sorry Alistair, dragonbone is way more durable than red steel so I sold Cailan's armor"

Is the party's/Inquisitor's capacity limited? If so... is it very limited?

Storage seems like an old bad habit of RPGs in some cases. It might pain some of the players to remove these things, like the standard healing... I'm glad some developers are having the 'stones' to do it. That's how games get deeper.

I don't care about having a chest: I want a storage vault with guards and lots of places for stashing loot. I want attempted burglaries by my enemies. And I hope I can catch the slimy beggars and get to pass judgment on them :) And I want display cases in my throne room to display favored weapons, armor, and trophies. :)

But failing that, yeah, a freaking storage chest would be helpful. A bit hard to understand Bioware's apparent decision not to give us storage.

totally agree there a chest would be nice (or even better a vault with guard infront of the gate lol)
