I like keeping special items after I stop using them, like collecting legendary/unique weapons and the like, I still sell everything else. RP wise it makes more sense that way too. I don't see a PC being like "Ooh nice blade, guess I'll throw away my Family Sword then" or "Sorry Alistair, dragonbone is way more durable than red steel so I sold Cailan's armor"

I remember Aveline bitching at Hawke for selling Wesley's shield when you give her a gift. Funny, considering DA2 DID have storage...

DA: I should actually take some pages out of DD:DA's ( Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen ) book when it comes to featuring equipment storage, character creation / character editing, polished combat, immersion, gameplay, and armors and weapons variety and etc.!

The storage is nice in Dogma, but character creation, polished combat, armors and weapon variety? Dogma character creation was horrible, I'd almost akin it to Oblivion. You had to spend a long time making a decent looking character, even then it wasn't "that" good. The combat consisted of spamming your highest damage abilities. I.E: Bolide(or any Sorcerer top tier spell), any of the 6-10 shot archer ablities or the 2handed insta-kill smash. You could literally do the entire game with the same gear and same people after level 80+(not even remotely a challenge once you are level Infinite). The story was nice but no where near anything Bioware offeres on their worst day(even though I personally enjoyed the ending fight/scene). And the gear variety? Once you got something 2 or 3 time Dragon Forged anything else ended up vendor trash. I personally ran around with a mixed armor set that I thought looked great and never needed to change it.

On Topic: I personally hope if they don't "patch" in a chest they'll at least release some mod tools for the PC that'll let us make mods like the camp chest......and hopefully npc mods that'll let me fix Cassandra's 7 year transformation from Female to her Brother.

*Edit*: I will say that the Ur-Dragon fight was very fun and did require some actual strategy though so yeah, that's about it.

I did actually sell the templar's shield, belonging to a dead mook doesn't make it special just because the mook happened to have a name.

Overall the CC of DAI is better but Dragon's Dogma did have few cool things in it's CC, like body types, height, body scars, muscularity slider, different idle stances, one universal walk/run animation set that looked and worked perfectly fine with characters of any gender, size or shape

Maybe someone can help me understand this, but lets say hypothetically they did add in a storage chest, or whatever it was that allowed a person to store something for later on no matter the reason, then everyone here who has said, no don't add this in or something to the effect of that, these could just not use the storage chest thing if they were already opposed to it, the point is that its there for people who want to use it. Also its always nice in a rpg to have options and lots of them and by adding in this one feature which personally I don't think is too much to ask for, would be just that, an option that could be turned away just as easily as the people who want it could also have the option to use it.   This way everyone wins!!!

Personally I want a Trophy Room instead of a chest kind of like how we could setup our houses in Skyrim we got dummy's we could set armor pieces on we know longer used and wall plaques we could display cool weapons we found as well as weapon stands we could place about the house and bookshelves to places books and lore items.

I loved that was hoping Bioware would have done something like this in our Keep.

Armour and weapon plaques would be great. I like to sort and organize my items in chest(after I have been at work all day and don't have time to actually play a game). Sorting relaxes me.  having a chest/storage room would be great for me.

A trophy room would be amazing, but even a chest would be appreciated.

Indeed I would love to have something I can display the most awesome of my weapons and armour. I also wouldn't mind a Treasury Room like Fable 3 where the more gold you had the more gold was in the Treasury. It was supremely satisfying to walking into an empty treasury and 2 hours later it was filled to the ceiling with gold.

I tried to do something like that with skyrim but ended up crashing every time I walked into one of my houses because I had an entire room dedicated to gems, gold bars, gold ore and gold coins.....so much stuff to render that it crashed my game lol.

I am perplexed as to why there isn't a storage system in this game. I mean we have a castle. Did no one remember on the development team remember to include a storage room for items and weapons? How do you miss this?

Is it possible that maybe there is a storage room in the castle and we just don't know it yet? I mean the game hasn't been released yet.

It's possible that there maybe a room that we can store in that large castle as it is pretty big and most of the video's I've seen they purposely don't explore all of it as to allow us a chance to see what is about when we get the game.

I find the absence of the storage quite a strange oversight, but I guess I'll wait and see how it turns out in the game. Maybe we'll have other options?

I am not much of a hoarder myself, and tend to sell everything I am not using, but definitely not on the first playthrough where I have no idea how useful this or that can be. In the first run I generally collect things just in case.

It would so glaring as an oversight that I think it may actually be misguided design instead

I have said this in previous posts... sometimes it is the small things that make a game feel complete. I think Bioware focused a lot on the grand things (open world, crafting) and forgot the small stuff. Frankly I don't care about a crafting system or about decorating my castle. I would prefer silly little things like long hari styles, a ball gown to wear to the Orlesian Ball, and yes, a storage chest...
