Why couldnt you just make combat like it was in DA:O? Why did you have to make it a console game and make it more "action" than tactical? Game will be easy and it will be ****. I would love the game to keep the old camera view from DA:O and the same tactical good combat. Not this piece of **** "action" fast-paced combat crap. I miss games like Baldur's Gate and Origins was a godsend. The Isometric view paired with the tactical combat made for some of the best rpgs in history. Now they destroy it with this console crap! Its gonna fail, sorry!

Someone please - shut up this bs - it does not really know whats its going to be (there tactical combat confirmed feature for all the platforms) and it runs to troll on forums.

Im not mad, im just disappointed. I normally dont post on forums, but i was kinda excited about inquisition because they said they were going back to origins style game. But nah EA cant allow that to happen. Have to make a game for every type of game station available for the maximum bang for the buck!

I note you've joined this morning.  I will do the politeness of assuming you aren't a troll despite this.  

 

The reason is that combat in Origins sucked.  It wasn't very tactical, it wasn't very isometric - it was half-and-half.  I liked it despite those things, but I'm not blind to its faults - I never really thought in combat beyond hammering my favoured skills in their favoured order on various targets while getting my allies to drop pancakes on enemies they were suited to deal with (just in case you're wondering I played on Hard).  

 

The mechanics in DA2 were a little better, but the visual design (animu-style slashing, the weird jumping and flipping) made it something of a turn off for me, especially when combined with the frenetic motion.  

 

Now in DAI they've bought back a more Isometric Camera view with slower paced combat - but with the thought and intelligence required that Origins lacked - and somehow it's a console piece of ****?  

 

Even if what you said is true, as the console market is vast the game wouldn't fail as it would sell on consoles (and I speak here as a PC gamer for life!).  Given the overwhelming positive reviews it has received as well, I must ask you - what are you smoking?  And can I have some?

The sad thing is, despite the fact this is an obvious troll, I agree with them. Mages look dumb doing acro-casting; it's a magic staff, not combat staff.

I know tactical combat was included but its better not to use it cause its bad. You can hardly see anything. I didnt enjoy DA2 one bit. I dont know how far I got, I think I played around 8 hours or so but couldnt stand the combat. Origins I had around 250 hours.

Yeah...mages do look funny doing that "combat casting", if magic drains a person, jumping around like a monkey sure does not help.
