The sad thing is, despite the fact this is an obvious troll, I agree with them. Mages look dumb doing acro-casting; it's a magic staff, not combat staff.
And the weird swaying they did in Origins was better...how?

I'll bite and just say BioWare's "visions" for there games do not correspond with yours so you may aswell strike them off your play list, in meantime why not go play some games like Divinity: Original Sin as they cater to your tastes, and no this was not a EA decision this was a BioWare decision
I know tactical combat was included but its better not to use it cause its bad. You can hardly see anything. I didnt enjoy DA2 one bit. I dont know how far I got, I think I played around 8 hours or so but couldnt stand the combat. Origins I had around 250 hours.
Ok...what about the new Tactical Cam is bad? You can't see much by holding the camera still - but you couldn't in Origins either. This camera allows you to move further and scout more, and while that will require you to remember where people are in relation to each other, isn't relying on your intelligence more tactical?

That is all.
And the weird swaying they did in Origins was better...how?
Imagine Wynne, who constantly complains of her frailty, doing acro-casting.

True. Which is why, I guess, none of the mages we've seen in DA as companions since have been Wynne. Also, Wynne is possessed by a Spirit of faith that prevents her from dying - in my mind her 'frailty' is her clinging to humanity and trying to be 'normal'. She could probably throw rocks around if she felt like it.
On top of that, since we're discussing how visually superior Origins is, let's talk about how Wynne looks like a 20 year old.
As a French reviewer aptly showed in a video review, if you're a PC gamer, fan of the DAO feel and difficult combat, the kind of gamer who this reviewer was, just start the game on Hard or Nightmare with FF on. Said reviewer was then very happy with his game experience.
Here is the link (in French, spoiler free imho): http://www.jeuxvideo...-3-00124304.htm
Your experience will be good and other people with other tastes will be satisfied. If it's optional it's not really a problem, is it?
well well you feed the troll congratz
Divinity: Original Sin is a good game
Enh it's an okay game. It tries to kinda hard to be dark and funny. I like the combat though.
I predict it won't be as bad as ME3, so I'm happy. Nothing will top the horribleness of that game.

Mage staff twirling during long range combat is a bit hokey. Especially (from the trailers) every mage, no matter what the specialty,
use the same moves. My preference is diverse mage combat moves, depending on race, gender and specialty..
It may be a budget ($$$) constraint for motion capture. Plus the permutations do get "high" = 3races X 2 genders X n specialty. Still,
a bit of variation helps you stay immersed in the game.

Ride to Hell Retribution, Watch Dogs on PC, COD Ghosts, AC: 3, Need for Speed the Run, those Facebook games... and so on
The tactical camera is back, so you can be very methodical if you wish.
Mike Laidlaw himself generally plays on Hard. If you think the game is too easy, turn up the difficulty. If you watch Angry Joe's preview, he tried to play in Nightmare and COULD NOT beat a boss fight because it was so hard (and he didn't use the tactical camera).
Or...
If you are truly a troll, then I shall begin this encounter by casting Winter's Grasp, which shall deal some damage but freeze you for a short time. Now if somebody would kindly use Mighty Blow, please and thank you.
Ride to Hell Retribution, Watch Dogs on PC, COD Ghosts, AC: 3, Need for Speed the Run, those Facebook games... and so on
And I found ME3 to be worst then all those
But hey, that's just my opinion.
dumb-ass [duhm-as]
1.a thoroughly stupid person; blockhead.
Also, ******. 1970-1975 Americanism
I hate trolls so much... You make me... they just make me...

snip...Given the overwhelming positive reviews it has received as well, I must ask you - what are you smoking? And can I have some?
Im with you! ![]()
He haves 1 post, he is obvious troll.
If I had to make a guess i would say he is guy who supports new combat system, enjoyed idiotic combat of DA2, hated Origins, and now just trolling because...OK, i don't know why would anyone make an account just for this...
He's most likely a Witcher fan trying to reduce sales.

*Has a body of a 20 year old. Fixed it for you.
Anyway, about 'dem graphics'; never mentioned graphic fidelity, but even in that older style I certainly don't mind the game. My only issue was some of the character designs themselves, which are easily fixed by mods to ensure not everyone looks like they had a blob of lumpy dough for a face and to be fair, DA2 dropped the ball worse by making elves worshippers of Dagon. One thing I do miss from DA:O especially though was the indepth codexes and the item descriptions. Oh goodness, the item descriptions...
Why couldnt you just make combat like it was in DA:O? Why did you have to make it a console game and make it more "action" than tactical? Game will be easy and it will be ****. I would love the game to keep the old camera view from DA:O and the same tactical good combat. Not this piece of **** "action" fast-paced combat crap. I miss games like Baldur's Gate and Origins was a godsend. The Isometric view paired with the tactical combat made for some of the best rpgs in history. Now they destroy it with this console crap! Its gonna fail, sorry!
oh, good, another person who just took a cursory glance at a trailer, and didn't bother to actually look into the game, because if they did, then they would know that the DAO perspective is available...
Yeah...mages do look funny doing that "combat casting", if magic drains a person, jumping around like a monkey sure does not help.
right, because listlessly swaying back and forth, jabbing their magic pokey-sticks at air looked good..
