Incorrect Previous Choices imported into the Keep

I completed Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II. I have noticed several of my game choices that are imported as "default" into The Keep are incorrect. For example, I romanced Morrigan and had a child. But it imported that I "romanced no one", and that "Morrigan didn't have a baby" as the default choice.

I noticed many choices are correct but several aren't. What am I missing here?

The big banner that says save games are not imported

Yea I read that. But in my view that is a little ambiguous. "Saved games" vs "choices"? Obviously DA Origins and DA II had two entirely different "saved games" since 2 entirely different characters were played. But again, many of the choices I made in both previous games were clearly imported as well as my characters and character names/faces/avatars etc. Some are correct and some aren't. It is importing several items from previous games. So I guess I am not clear on what is imported and what isn't. What defines "saved games" here?

Only your character name and his appearance is imported. No choice at all is imported. Matches with your game choices are just luck. ;-)

save games means choices.

Characters imported yes. Choices no. What you are reading is the Bioware worldstate that is used in the books and has the fewest call backs to previous games so as to not confuse newcomers to the series (although DA:I isnt very newcomer friendly). Any semblance of them reflecting what you did is mere coincidence.

Ok thanks for input. Wow. So I am looking at 2+ hours of even trying to remember what I did in both previous games. I am a detail freak so this is going to drive me nuts. I was very careful to make sure all choices I made in both previous games were exactly what I REALLY wanted to do. But this was 2 years ago lol. I have trouble remembering what I ate for breakfast yesterday. I want this experience with DA Inquisition to be perfectly accurate as to what I chose with both previous games. It's important to me.

I installed DA1 and DA2 and loaded up  my old save games and with the help of my memories, the codex and quest descriptions I could make up my "real" world state. Was an evenings work though ...

Yes, it can seem like a lot of work when you are making your first World State.

What you'll find, though, is that once you've made one, you can make a second or a third very, very quickly. This is great if you intend to try more than one playthrough of DA:I, since you can see what effect it would have if you'd put someone else on the throne in DA:O, or if one of your companions had died in DA2, or if you hadn't helped a certain NPC etc etc.

In the long run, I think you'll find the time spent on creating your first World State will be time well spent.

I am sure it will be very satisfying. I must admit I like having the option to customize all the old options/choices from the old games.

I wonder how many more threads like this we're going to see.

Tons.

But if we tell them instead of the devs. It saves the devs getting a headache and freeing them to working on the keep

They will multiply when DA:I is released.

I'm more concerned that people will sync their characters and export their world state without checking them and realize they're playing with the default.

There are several excellent websites that have done full guides to what all the choices were. The Dialogue Wheel is an excellent one and apparently, PC Gamer has one now too. I'm currently working on a conversion with Dragon Age II to help you find your choices with your completed quests in Dragon Age II, but it will take some time to get your world state ready.

Yes.  Yes, they will.

Sadly, we'll all be playing the game by then, so there'll be no one here to put them right!   ;)

I'll probably be around during the first few days unless my amazon order suddenly updates with "You're order has shipped!" on friday.

Good point. Although I might visit here on a break from playing

Hmm... I assumed that most people would play the ISS, but if hearing that doesn't throw up any red flags, you're probably right.

It occurs to me that you should probably report this as a bug/ deficiency in the Keep. If the message about what's being imported isn't clear, it isn't.

Heh, not me I'm afraid. Money isn't a thing I have and I for one don't buy pre order to begin with.
