With four races to choose from, I'm curious as to what the most popular races will be and why people are picking the race they're going to play.

For me, I'm going Qunari first because, I want to learn more about them, horns, and because I've already played as every other race.

I am trying Qunari to. For my first character anyway. It is properly because they are new

Last two were human mages and I simply find it awkward for the people who keep saving this blasted world to always be human mages.

 

So I have to decide on another kind of mage. Not sure yet.

Either a Human or an Elf.

At this rate I won't know until I click.

Qunari since I wanted to play as one since DA2, plus it's new shiny and different.

Then Dwarf since my second run is always as a bad/evil character who is usually a dwarf

Elf for third since I would have originally played as elf first.

Then human ...when I feel like it. Human is my least favorite since I get to be one of those every day of my life and the story seems duller as one.

An elf, partially because it's my usual pick, but also because I love the racists in Thedas and how they react to an elf giving them backtalk

Then a Qunari because it's new

Then a human

Dwarf because they are best and fem-dwarfs are cute 

Qunari to give headache to Qun 

Elf because they are pretty 

Human  ...........................................ok just to try it out...but honestly playing human is boring for me since I can be blasted human in every game.

Human because I like to pretend my character is me    and I don't really look like a Qunari

Human for first two Playthroughs. Because both Ferelden & Orlais are mostly consisted of humans, and we started with Mage/Templar wars. Humans (mage/non mage) will help immersion.

 

Then on third play through Dalish elf rogue, on fourth Dwarf. Can't imagine myself being a Qunari, I can't stand their look.

I will play as all the races. 

 

However, Human Male Mage is my canon since I like to roleplay as myself. Elves have no facial hair, are too scrawny for my taste and are not known to have afro-style hair. Qunari are too big. Dwarves cannot use magic.

Human, then Elf, then human, then Qunari XD. I can't play dwarves.

Elves this time around.  I've played mostly humans in both the prior games and want to do something different.  Qunari males do look interesting, though, so my second playthrough will likely be a Qunari.

Qunari Mage, I've wanted to be one ever since DA2, plus they're probably going to get some pretty interesting dialogue.

Probably gonna make a male Qunari warrior then a female Elf or Human rogue, never was a fan of being a mage myself don't really want half of Thedas hating on me. Mostly looking forward to a Qunari since as others have mentioned, it's new, and I'm hoping the game will give you opportunities to follow/oppose the Qun.

Human mage at first due to DAI being originally made for them and the probable lack of "lesser" content

Then ill be a elf mage

Generally only play mage races

Elf! I've always found Elves and the Dalish to be super interesting, and being second to the Keeper is going to be amazing!

After months of thinking it over, I am sticking to my favorite race the dwarves. I shall be Isana Cadash, Rogue DW!

 

Isana: A term for lyrium. Also called "singing stone".
