I'll either play a human or elf. In DAO I went human first then second was a Dailish, I also tend to make more characters even before completing the first playthrough. I'll most likely make a Qunari and a dwarf last. But tomorrow I may be saying elf first and human last or something else, I just can't make up my mind sometimes.

Qunari. Because they are the tallest.

Between humans and qunari. Leaning a bit toward humans, but they're pretty even. It's all depending on the customization options for qunari.

Qunari mage. I really want a Qunari that is free with his magic and doesn't tie himself down to the Chantry or the Qun. Plus seeing some of the Andrastians faces when they find out that a Qunari mage is the Maker's poster child will be PRICELESS!!!! Plus, I love playing as mages ;)

Human master race!

Because I like to pretend that that human is me and I am not an Elf, Dwarf, or Qunari as far as I know.

Dwarf. Played one in Origins/Awakening and will continue to play them as long as I have the option. Maybe we'll get a romance one of these days.

I'm on the fence until I've seen what the character creator does for each race. Whichever race looks the most appealing is what I'll probably start with.

Probably Qunari though. Even if their hair sucks.

If I'm playing a female, human is always my top pick. Being a human(in case there was any doubt on that score) female IRL, I find it much more rewarding and fun. Now on the other hand,I have absolutely no issue playing a male of another species. In fact I only ever played dwarven or elven men in DA:O.

I've got three.

Qunari Mage- I want to see the reactions from npcs being not only a qunari, but one not of the religion AND is a Mage.
Knight enchanter cause it fits with the racial bonus.

Dwarven tempest- dwarves look freaking ace in this game and you're part of a crime family. Tempest cause it's the closest thing a dwarf can get to casting magic.

Human Mage- role playing a gifted spirit medium who can bing spirits of death (yay necromancer). As a circle Mage who has fought Templars before, it entwined with that particular conflict within the game.

1)Female, Elf, Mage.... Romance: Solas or Cullen (can't decide, if I romance Cullen first than second goes Solas)
2) female, human, rogue ..... Romance: blackwall or bull (same goes as option one)
3) female, qunari, Mage .... Romance: bull
Can't play dwarf.... Don't know why but just cant play as one.

Elf because they're interesting and I enjoyed playing as one in Origins. Will probably go with a human afterwards. Might try a dwarf or Qunari to mix things up but I doubt I'll play anything other than an elf or human.

A male dwarf because(god help me) I think they're hot. Don't Judge!

Probably qunari. I think it'll be interesting and I'm leaning towards romancing IB. My Inquisitor will be a strident anti-communist tal-vashoth (if that alienates Bull too much... well, **** 'im).

I might play a human or elf. I've come around on playing a Dalish elf, even though I don't love face tattoos (optional in the CC, if not in the lore). My worry there is that a human or elf would too small for me to like them with Iron Bull, if I decide to go that route. (whereas a male qunari Inquisitor wouldn't necessarily be too large for other potential LIs) That guy's huge. (tiny head aside, of course)

Dwarves will be (much) later, in all likelihood.

I am thinking of playing a Qunari in the EA Access trial since I can't carry my save over anyway (didn't purchase the game on XB1 but I have the EAA). But for my first real game....

I was back and forth between Elf and Human for awhile, but I think I'm starting with Human because

A) I think being a Chantry-faithful character would be interesting for a first playthrough and the human background feeds into that well

B] I don't want to romance Solas first playthrough but do want to sometime, so I will save my Elf Lady for that

C) I kind of want my first Elf to be a mage (Keeper-in-training, yesa) but I always play rogue first and don't want to play a mage first

D) The extra ability point sounds fun for a first playthrough

I still might turn Elf in the end, but I think I'll be human first. I plan to do plenty of playthroughs so I play to play them all at some point if the game is as good as it looks!

I definitely will be a dual-wielding rogue first.

Torn between them all honestly. ;-;

Human templar would be totes fun, dwarf cadash rogue would be amazing, keeper/mage dalish elf would be so cool, and qunari ANYTHING is badass.

Looks like I will just have to do many many play-throughs.

I will probably end up rolling fem elf first though, just because I want all those romance options available to me. ;)

I'm tempted to go for Qunari mage for maximum cognitive dissonance when I'm declared the Herald of Andraste.

Female Qunari Mage (Necromancer).

Qunari may not like her cause she is Tal-Vashoth (or Vashoth) and also a female that fights. Everyone else could not like her cause she is a Qunari. Just about everybody could have a problem with a mage (also, since Necromancer is the... darkest (not sure that's the word I want, but w/e) spec people could have a problem with that).

So, yeah, I want her to be as much of an outsider as possible.

I'll eventually play every race/gender combo, and will try each spec at least once.

Fem Elfy Mage, she's going to try to earn and get the respect from the world of Thedas, not just for her, for her entire race.

It was a tough call for a while, but I've ended up deciding on being a Male Qunari. I've been curious about the race for a while, and what better way to learn about the Qunari than by being a Qunari yourself (though I wish they had longer hair options)? Also want get a deeper look into the racism against Qunari and see if the Tal-vashoth are truly any different from the Qunari raised in the Qun (like are they close to their families).

But the moment I finish that play-through I'm jumping right in to being a Dwarf; out of the original three races introduced in Origins, the dwarf is my top favorite.  :)

As much as I dislike humanity, I'm going to be a human. Because I dislike dwarves and elves more. And Qunari just... I don't know why, but I just don't want to play as one. It just feels like there will be a big disconnect from the story if I did.
