As a character I can see your point. But you pretty much caught him off guard in the first attempt. Now that he's got his wits and prepared himself...
Pretty much this. He is now very lucid and at alot more powerful then he was in Legacy.

DAI
I look forward to it.

I really liked Corypheus (and the Architect)...in their respective games. Corypheus has all the makings of being a really interesting, lore heavy, antagonist with a lot of personality and character. His apperance in Legacy really did feel like, just an appetizer really. Can't say he is my favorite antagonist ever, of course, even in a BioWare game, but really looking forward to seeing him being fleshed out, and should be quite good. Plus his boss fight in DA 2 was really, really, fun.
I'm mostly interested in learning more about this black city shenanigans.

I try not to spoil myself on things like this but I want to venture a guess that the Elder One is actually Flemeth.
Again I don't spoil myself often so alot of the "known" things about DA: I are still unknown to me so if Flemeth is doing something else then I apologize for my lack of knowledge.

I thought as much for a second, but then It wrote her off as being the Elder One. It just doesn't make sense to me for her to be the Elder One. I truly believe she is a good person, just jaded by the world that turn her into what she is. I mean she's literally responsible for both the plots in DA : O and DA : II, if she hadn't saved the Warden or Hawke the world would've been garbage years ago. I'm figuring she's gonna be a threat in some sort of capacity, but a viable ally. I'm gonna speculate with Morrigans involvement, the Inquisitor will have a choice between putting Flemeth down, or making her an ally. If so, I'm definitely making her an ally, Thedas owes her alot (The Warden & Hawke) whether they know it or not.

I am too. As we recall he stated that "The Golden City was already Black," when he and the other magisters 1st entered, thus being tricked by Dumat. If this is to be believed literally everything the Chantry is based on is thrown into question, and even unfounded to some extent. Really hope since the fades getting torn up we get to travel to the black city, I'm curious if Bioware is balsey enough to flat out state if there is or isn't a maker in this game.
Cory won't be the main big bad. I mean, from everything we've seen related to him thus far, he's still in the area around Kirkwall. Plus, all quest related info pertaining to him has specifically called him Cory, not The Elder One.
So, I'm 99.9 % sure the big bad and Cory are two different people.

I'm 100% certain that the big-bad of Inquisition, the main antagonist, is Corypheus, however, you are right that saying he isn't The Elder One. The Elder One is revealed come the game's conclusion, but you don't actually fight him. It is saved for expansions/future games.

Yeah, I highly doubt that.
Lay off. If you didnt want spoilers dont read any of these threads. Whether it is a jackass putting spoilers up or the op doing it by accident. Calm down people!!!
This is bsn they attack anyone showing the slightest mistake
on topic
We knew this moron would be back but if he is controlling the wardens will it effect the hero of Ferelden if there alive?
Allright, I've seen this and directly proceeded to resurrect Loghain on my Tapestry.
Chaotic Murderer Hawke teaming up with blood betrayer kingslayer Loghain, means Old God's ass soon to be kicked by a revengegasm.

Heehee....
Yeah, I highly doubt that.
So... Cory is the image used to symbolize the "won the game" Achievement/Trophy and you still think he's a minor antagonist? I can see you put a lot of thought into this.
Actually it turns out Cory is in fact the Elder One..so yea there's that lol
Is that Meredith's sword??!!
I am not surprised that Corypheus is the Elder One.
One must remember that Corypheus we fought in DA2: Legacy was a creature who just woke up after a forced slumber of few thousand years, with no idea where he is or what on Earth is going on...The Corypheus fight in DA2 is essentially a bunch of us ganging up on a badass mofo who just woke up from a long sleepy nap.
So I imagine in DAI Corypheus will be much, much, much more powerful. I also think we will get some backstory on him, on what he used to be and on how the entered the Black City in order for us to learn more about him and relate to him on some level.
I don't know why the first pagers were complaining about the title. It's a subforum dedicated to spoilers lol.
First off, I'm pissed off that I knew what spoiler was by the title AFTER it was changed. "Yep so we guessed right (SUPER SPOILER)" If you read the forums at all, you'd know that pretty much the only "super" spoiler would be the Elder One and that most people were guessing Corypheus with Flemeth being the only other real guess (and lots of people who guessed her doubted their guess). If it had been "Elder One identity (SUPER SPOILER)" nothing would have been spoiled. So, yeah, thanks for that...
That being said, I really really hope that he's not the one behind everything. Because if he is, Bioware either has to make Hawke far less of a BA since he barely defeated him just after he woke up, or Corypheus isn't any more powerful than before and just gets pwned twice in a row. I'm excited he's coming back, but just not glad he's the main bad guy instead of a side-quest like he was before.
Even still though, he's ALREADY better than the archdemon who had zero backstory/motivation/dialgue/emotional impact. Also, Bioware, if you let me fight Corypheus in the Black City, I might not care that you're recycling your villains : )

Because you can see the title of a post from the main forum without actually entering the spoiler section. Also there are people (me included) that don't mind browsing specific spoilers that we don't care about (i.e. recruitment videos of companions) and don't want the hidden villian of the entire game spoiled without opening a thread.

Your reasoning for being upset is kinda stupid. Like I really want to explain why your reasoning is stupid but I can't put the words together to explain why its stupid, because its obviously stupid. Needless to say you're upset because you clicked on a spoiler topic in a spoiler thread that spoiled the reveal of an arch enemy that you already spoiled for yourself...what even

Well **** you better close them eyes when scrolling.

No, I'm not upset because I clicked on the spoiler thread. I'm upset because I didn't click the thread and knew the spoiler. Was I already pretty sure about the spoiler before I saw the thread? Yes, but that's not the point. I'm pissed because someone found out a massive spoiler and then manage to first post the actual spoiler itself in the title. Then they "fixed" it by making it still blatantly obvious what it was for anyone who was on the forums in the past and was part of the speculation threads before we had confirmed info. How is that stupid?
Edit: For an example of what should have been done, there is a thread called "The New Divine *heavy spoilers*" and as I don't want to find out the big stuff yet, I won't click the link and nothing was spoiled even if I have a confident guess.
Also, I'm mostly pissed because Bioware made it sound like the villain's reveal was to be one of if not the biggest reveal, and the person who found out and posted it screwed up the title in such a way as to spoil it without reading the title. If the spoiler was that Iron Bull loses one of his horns (totally making this up) partway through the game, I wouldn't really care. The magnitude of the spoiler and that seemingly everyone else was able to not spoil stuff with their titles is why I'm so pissed.

Again your reasoning for being upset is still stupid. Your most free to continually explain it my dear. But it'll still remain stupid, no matter how in-depth your explanation goes.
Cory is the Elder One...
Cory calls himself the Elder One. The really isn't any doubt.
