PLEASE Bioware, allow us to use the omni-blade in ME-next! It was very cool new thing in ME-3. In ME-1 and ME-2 my Shepards were almost defenseless against husks melee attacks. But when I first used omni-blade…it was AMAZING!

I'm so excited all news (even small) of ME-next and special THANKS for MAKO returns, but please, please, please - keep omni-blades for our new hero.

Why should they not bring back Omniblades?

What if? :)  It's a military thing, and if our hero is not a military, we can not get the omni-blade, I'm afraid.

I would actually prefer not having it. A regular blade strapped to a boot should be more fun. The reason because I don't want it is because it is (using cliche definition) "not realistic". I just can't see it working in ME Universe. Codex explanation does not really cut it.

If it was redesigned in some way (haven't thought about it much) so it worked "realistically" in ME Universe, I would like it.

It does look cool though :)

Would much rather have a vibroblade or some other physical weapon. The hologram arm blade seemed silly along with the drones and hologram engineer armor. I am fine with the game mechanics. The visuals are what bugged me.

I like to have an omni-bow like I saw in multiplayer. I would also like to have an omni-shield like what the shadow broker had.

"That was for Thane, you son of a b*tch!"

This alone should be reason enough to bring it back it's as iconic as Shepard himself now.

I would like forms of omni-weapons and omni-tools and omni-whatevers as OPTIONS. Customization should definitely be key. For my protagonist, I doubt I'd want an actual omni-blade, and I'd use something else instead. But it'd probably still be omni.

Funny how people complained about how the Omni-blade lacked any scientific plausablity, (hard light, and all that) before the release of ME3, yet no one made a peep about the Shadow Brokers Omni-shield, which was seen years before

I would actually like to see the omni-blade become a separate weapon you can switch to rather than just being a charged melee attack. It was a nice addition to ME3, but it still could be a lot more than it currently is.

The 'omni shield' is a logical extension of tech armor, and tech armor is a logical extension of basic shield/barrier technology. The appearance of the tech-armor and the omni-shield visually defines the effect, but it does not indicate that it's made of 'hard light.'

Nothing, however, indicates that shields and barriers have edges that can cut like the omni-blade does.

Codex explains very detailed what an omniblade is: A by the Omnitool flashforged superhot silicon carbide blade, reinforced by mass effect fields and illumintaed by hologramms for safety reasons, developed to fight Husk hords in close quarters.

Sounds cool, looks cool and is a cool thing gameplaywise.

I think we can be 100% sure to see Omniblades/ -shields etc. in ME4. too. And I hope BW extends (heavy) melee weapons a bit so we can mod and customize them

I LOVE the omni-tools in ME3. They're so awesome! The Omni-Shield, the Omni-Bow, the Omni-Claws, they're all amazing and I hope we can use them in the Next Mass Effect, along with new ones.

i think it would be better if it was used more of a tool for hacking, communicating, and controlling  stealth or shields systems for the armor rather than the ultimate weapon that pretty much was the ultimate one hit weapon for any enemy besides the mini bosses.

i would prefer the melee weapon could have been something like a knife, tomahawk, or even your bare fists.

I really like the Omni-Blade.

I would love to have one for my Adept.

I'd rather have sharpened helicopter blades.

Well from the looks of the new concept art the in-game map will be an "omni-map", so why not just add omni-everything!

Well, omni literally means everything.

It does, right?

Yeah, "omni" means "all". Which is why I never got why it was called the "Omni-Blade". "Omni-Tool" makes sense but anything else doesn't.

I suppose it was better than Blade-Tool... regardless it's a cool name and it makes sense. I mean, what would you call it? Light blade?

And Omni-battle axes. And we should be able to transform into the Mako.
