So I am 45 years old and have lived in the same area all my life and I can honestly say we here have seen and experienced weather that is well outside the norm.  Normally where I live we get moderate weather, not to hot in the summer and not to cold in the winter.   In the winter we might get an inch or 2 of snow a few days out of the year but more likely to get freezing rain but even that is usually only a day here or there.  Most of the time it is just plain old rain.

However this past summer we set a two records, the first for the most 90+ degree days and the second was consecutive days without rainfail (60+ days not sure the actual number).  Just 3 years ago we set all kinds of all time record highs in several cities when we had 3 days in a row of 110+.  And now today they are forecasting as much as 4-6 inches of snow and up to a quarter inch of ice as the temperature slowly warms up.  This would be out of the norm in Jan/Feb and completely unheard of in only the second week of November.  To go along with the snow and ice we are also getting high winds, had a 55 mph gust yesterday where I live and forecast calls for possible gusts of 30-50 today and tonight.  Just crazy and since we are not prepared for this kind of weather the roads will be a nightmare.

Not really looking to start a climate change debate but thought I would share what we have coming and to see who else is getting what they don't normally get.  Least I can take a sick day and hope I don't lose power.

We're still in the middle of an apocalyptic drought here, all part of Obama's plan to convert the organic matter in our state into smoked jerky to feed the rest of the country. Soon I'll be delicious, thanks Obama.

Shaia Jerky, I'd buy that for a dollar.

It's freezing where I am, wearing two shirts and a jacket

I don't want to go outside because I feel like I might freeze, but alas life demands it.

You are from somewhere in the PNW, I suspect. And have lived here for the same number of years as myself. Too funny. ;)

Yep west side of Portland.  I see they have moderated the forecast to be not as bad which is good.  I have a tree in my backyard that makes me nervous at the talk of ice and wind.

We seem to be getting "once in a decade, 50 years, century" events every 2 months where I am now. Makes me glad there's no climate change otherwise things could be much worse. God Bless those Sceptics. ;)

CO2 producing sinners, do you wish to absolve yourself of your sins against mother earth? Then come and buy some of my fairly priced carbon credits. For a small fee you too can feel guilt free when you next step aboard your private jet or build another home in on the vineyard. Just send a primate message for details.

Decent where I am today, by the weekend it will be freezing and the dead will rise to destroy the living.

Eastside, here. Glad to read that the severity has been downgraded. Filled the 5 gallon gas can for the generator, yesterday....... just in case.

It is always worse on your side of the field, I would keep that gas can close.
