Male dwarf warrior, just like my Warden. Will decide specialization and romance during play. A nice guy, but generally direct and practical. Not an Andrastian to start, but neither will he be particularly invested in tearing down the faith of others, especially if it gives them comfort.
Your DA I character.

I now have a new question, mainly because it is fun to talk about and it kills time until the game is actually here, and opinion are always to to compile.
If you were making a Qunari somewhat inspired by Hellboy, how would go you about creating him?
I am thinking classwise, because I am thinking; Warrior with a two handed Hammer to substitute the right hand of doom. Secondly I would think that a Reaver would fit in some way, He takes a licking keeps on ticking. But perhaps templar would also be effective as a class.
Go.

Yeah, I might no go that far, he won't have redskin afterall, I think the idea maybe not completely visually but at least in terms of character and how he fights. I won't go total adherent, but rather he serves as an Inspiration.

maybe those that are in the EA access can post some screenshots of their inquisitors?

Elf Mage. I mean, the elves are the most looked down upon race in Dragon Age, so, it fits here to me to be this kind of stoic Elf Mage who didn't want this power.
At least that's what going down for my first and probably canon playthrough.

Dwarf, female, rogue. Sticking with that decision after seeing Dagna, Scout Harding and the gameplay of a dwarf Inquisitor.

I'm going to break the unbroken tradition since BG1 and play as a male character for a change. Male Qunari Rogue, Dual Daggers, Tempest Specialisation. Probably use the default name 'Karaas', because it's kind of cool. Going to romance Cassandra or Dorian, I think, and maybe rotate the final party slot depending on my mood.

I'm still not decided. Im definitely doing a human male warrior at some point, though whether that will be my first playthough or not is still up in the air. Might do a dwarf female rogue. Or a qunari. *sigh* Why are there so many options? ![]()

I always start as a Human Male Mage. Then I play as a Human Male Rogue, usually. I will then play as a Female character after that. I'm actually a little excited about playing as a Female character this time around because of Sera...
I'm disappointed that I can't romance her as a guy but that just gives me more of an incentive to play as a girl.

It's a toss up for me. I'm 99% sure I'll be playing a male warrior but I keep going back and forth between Dwarf and Qunari...

Male Qunari Rogue.
What's worse than a Qunari who fights with a code?
A Qunari who fights with none.

I know I'm going dwarf male two-handed warrior, who will play in a party that consists of (for the most part) himself, Cass, and Sera.
But I don't know which of the three mages I want to take along, and I don't know which of the three specializations I want my warrior to be.
Any advice would be, by me, welcome.

I think we need a human/elf war to add to the chaos.
I will be a human mage, hopefully to make one as cool as SeaofSarin did.
How I will work this in to being pro-Templar will be berry, berry interesting.
I would be a rogue but Varric is my man. (When I'm not with Cullen).

I've already described my first Inquisitor in various places on the forums, but whatever... I enjoy describing her!
Female elf, archer rogue. I was going to go with the Tempest spec because it sounded cool from the description (and I love me some alchemy), but after seeing the skill trees I'm leaning toward Artificer. I'll decide after I see them in game.
I'm hoping I can RP her as an outsider among her clan - a loner, direct and abrasive to the point of being rude (or just awkward, depending on the cricumstances). Agnostic, deeply curious about the world, and slow to trust people - elf and non-elf alike. Were it not for the rather chaotic state of the world in recent years, she probably would have left the Dalish. Being a leader is definitely something she'll have to grow into. Should be fun.
She'll be romancing Solas, who can hopefully teach her to appreciate her elven heritage.
I do have a vague idea of how I want her to look - darkish skin, short dark (probably black) hair, and hazel eyes. Dark red-brown face tattoos and some sort of scarring. I want to try and get away from my usual tendency to make beautiful characters and make her interesting instead. And I'll be using Sumalee's voice. I've been struggling to decide on a name, but I rather like Juno because of her role as protector in Roman mythology.

First playthrough male human mage (Knight Enchanter), second playthrough female Qunari 2hander (Reaver). Not sure after that.

Hmmmm. Been honestly thinking about making a dwarf female rogue. Ya know, something nobody plays?
But I'll prolly just end up with a human female rogue/mage. Haven't decided yet. I do like the fact that you were sent to spy on the mage/templar thing (if you chose elven) though. So I might have to go with that.

Ask me this a few weeks ago and I would have said dwarven dual dagger rogue. But since the backgrounds and the romance options have been released, her character doesn't speak to me as clearly as it did.
Female Qunari Mage on the other hand? Her name shall be Caithe Adaar and she will romance Blackwall (unless I change my mind mid-game or something) and it shall be awesome.
I'll also eventually be running a female elf (either rogue or warrior) and that female rogue dwarf. And a human male at some point.
But qunari first. Her backstory just spoke to me and popped a character out of my head practically fully formed. (Maybe I should name her "Athena", then? lol Hmmm...)

I still can't decide what to play first. I keep going back and forth. I'm not fond of the Warrior class, so I know probably rogue or mage. I'd do dwarf rogue first but I want to do a romance on my first playthrough and doing a dwarf would make them (to me) super-awkward. So I'll probably save that for when the romances have staled on me.
I'm thinking female elven mage might work the best. Means I can romance any of the people who strike my fancy, so that'd work well.

Next up is a warhammer wielding human warrior with a serious chip on his shoulder.
And last a female duel wielding qunari with a amoral outlook.
I'm far more excited by these two then my mage.
