From what I've seen, the main, over-the-shoulder action camera seems better suited to a controller, while tactical cam seems much better suited to mouse and keyboard.

So my question is - can you switch between controller and M+K on the fly? Some games allow you to do that, where you can have both plugged in and it just changes automatically whenever you pick one of them up. Or, will I have to go through a menu to change what I'm using?

"For players who would prefer to use a controller, make sure you have the controller connected before launching the game. Connecting a controller while the game is already running won't do anything. In addition, players have to switch the control scheme to Gamepad using the mouse and keyboard. Once the control scheme is switched over, the mouse and keyboard no longer do anything at all. It is a very black-and-white scenario, there's no mixing of the two control schemes. All of this was tested with Wireless Xbox 360 controllers."

I sorta remember a while back one of the devs tweeting that the interfaces associated with the control schemes were too different to have a seamless transition between MKB and controller.

There were assorted complications/issues with trying to change the controls during live gameplay (they don't play exactly the same) so we ended up having to go with a solution that required you to be back on the main menu to change the control scheme.

And yes, have your controller plugged in first (I've had this issue with other games as well, where peripherals are detected on application start).

Are those differences enumerated in the documentation somewhere?

I think AngryJoe's impressions were with an xbox one gamepad on PC.
