Am I the only one who honestly doesn't give a crap about Cole?

Yeah!!! I hate Cole, and that creepy weirdo ghost boy or demon boy...whatever! he's so insignificance that I wouldn't care calling it by the name. I will not accept it in my party at all, but I will spend my precious time dedicate to start my third topic about how much I hate Cole. For someone who hates or doesn't care about Cole...you sure create three topics about him. :P

I wonder if my Inquisitor will back away slowly after trying to flirt with him.

I don't think I will like Cole much, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt depending upon his combat prowess. My Team has an opening for a badass, high DPS, dual dagger wielding rogue (which was sexy Isabela in DA2 for me). That slot is open for me in Inquisition and Sera is my leading candidate unless she is really annoying. So far, she seems like a blast from the little bit I have seen.

Did you really think you were the only person in the world who isn't feeling fond of Cole? For some reason I don't.

Oh but me? He seems pretty interesting. Not the highest in my radar, but still excited to meet him.

Hate is just alternative showcase of need and dependence . Congrats, OP, by making this thread you shown to community how tied to Cole character you are. Indifferent, "don't give crap" people do not make such attention magnet posts.
This is actually proof of weakness to Cole character from you side.

As someone who just finished reading Asunder I cannot understand WHY you dislike him, but congrats. You are not alone in this I'm certain. Personally, I find him intriguing and a bit of a badass, so I will have him in my party pretty regularly. Not to mention from some of the screencaps I've seen he has entertaining banter & dialogue.

I do not share the fandom's enthusiasm but I also adore supernatural stuff so I'm like "meh?" instead of "meh" or "YEAH"

Badass? 100% true. Loved his "shroud" (that's what I call it xD) ability, technically the only way typical rogue stealthing could actually happen. That moment when he started gaining mastery of his powahss....

I was like, "EPIC!!!!"

Also... "Look into my eyes" ;)

He's not going to be in my party often, if at all. Am I the minority on this?

I dont like Cole at all, dont get the hype he recieves, he will never be in my party and i'll likely tell him to leave or kill him first chance I get

Most people feel the same way about other companions, they just don't need to flaunt it.

I do give a crap. After reading Asunder I find him really creepy. I'll recruit him and interact with him to see if he has anything that makes me like him, but tbh I doubt I'll interact much with him, like with Fenris. For roleplaying reasons I did his mission (Hawke needed money) but I rarely bother to even bring him with me (or not sell his gear).

He is one of most "positive" characters in inquisition party and leaves first if you play assquisitor. If you do not want him but recruited him generally behave evil and kill innocents. Some people do not even realize that character is not what he was on certain point once, but he is his transformation from that point to the person he is now. You can't perceive character correctly at all if you did not experienced/researched him now. Its like to look on the brown dirty seed in the mud and to claim it can't grow into tree that brings sweet red apples.

I haven' read Asunder and haven't paid much attention to him to be honest, as I can't see a place for him in my party - at least on my first run through. But I look forward to meeting him. I didn't think i was going to like Aveline when i first met her but she ended up being one of my favourite DA2 characters.

i'll give him the same amount of screen time as the rest of them, which will be enough to hear his story in game, as of now i dont know much about him so i have no opinion on him so like all companions depending on how i receive him in game will depend if he is in my party.

for me it is simple, it all depends on the story and then how the companions link to the story and importantly how they link an react to my pc in that play through, all my play throughs are different, each choice will be different and each world imported will be different, so how the companions react to the pc of that play through will be different and i have no question in my belief that cole will undoubtedly fit well into one of the play throughs and be a prominent member.

Every BioWare game i played there always 1 or 2 companions i dont like, but they still get there time, an tbh i wouldnt change that, be rather dull if i liked them all an none provoked me in any way

Does it bother you that people like him or something? You seem to make quite a big point out of it. :P

Everyone has their preferences I guess. You don't like Cole, don't take him with you or do whatever. (same goes for other characters)

Your playthrough, your decisions right? :)

Cole is the character that I care least about.  I remember back before companions got revealed that I was desperately hoping against Cole in favor of another non-human female companion.  I kind of ended up resenting him a bit when he was revealed for the "last" slot.  Add to that the fact that I find spirits and demons to be least favorite type of companions in RPGs and it just creates a whole lot of "meh" for me about him.  I'm sure he'll be fine, but I'm not really excited about him.  In fact, he's the only companion whose character thread I haven't visited at all.

For me its Same for Sera, while Cole is most visited. People are different . And as i said in post before, hate/strong dislike is strong dependence based on players opposition to character existence/lore/flavour/story.

I just do not care about Sera, but if i go post and make threads about it by myself , with own initiative, this will show my weakness before that character personality/existence.

Its good to share your point , but going "whose favorite character is better" debates is quite weak behaviour.

I think that Cole may have something big and spoilery in common with the Inquisitor. Can't quite get the thought out of my head. And if that gives anyone a big enough hint, maybe they'll start to give a crap about Cole.

I love Cole. He's going to be my bff and I'm taking him just about everywhere. Solas and Dorian, too.

Blackwall and Sera are the least interesting to me. I'll adventure with them to not miss content but their characters feel like tired old tropes. A headstrong fem elf rogue and a seasoned male knight? (sarcasm) Whoever heard of such "unique" character ideas? lol. Yawn.
