You've been asking me for this for a while...
Here's an extensive look at the 'Tactics' options in Dragon Age Inquisition...
It's an interesting mix of streamlined and effective...
Again...any other videos you NEED before next Tuesday?

Thank you. Certainly better than what I thought, but I miss having my tactics list.
i'm bracing myself for the people who are going to start crying and picking up their pitchforks, but i think this system is just fine, and a lot less convoluted than before.
also, i love your voice.

Vivienne looks awesome in that video.

Pitchforks? I prefer the Trident.

I kid, I kid.
Honestly I don't mind the Tactics system as it exists now in DA:I, I'm sure I'll make the most of it.
I think I can get use to this, I just have to be smart about it. I hope that tactical view will be easy to use on console.
To be fair, DA2 tactics were so good you could almost autopilot nightmare with the right setup. I can see why they went this route for DAI.

Aw shucks!
Maybe it will work better when I'm playing it, but based on your video I don't like that at all. I'm going to have to start the game micromanaging everyone just to find out what I want to use, and then see if I can get the Tactics system to emulate that. You've been asking me for this for a while...

The system definitely looks like it'll get the job done. You mentioned in the video that crafting was a bit of a mess, if you do have the time to go into that, that would be swell.

It's just Menu's inside menu's inside menu's UGH I'm not sure if we need a whole video just to devout to that...
If 2 other people agree with you...It'll be ready for tomorrow
While I really wish they just kept the old tactics system but made it even better I think I need to play the game before I really form an opinion. Setting up my tactics is one of my favorite parts of DA:O and DA:2.
I'm neutral about it right now but this is honestly the first thing to maybe be a potential negative for me ... it might end up being even more fun though so I look forward to giving it a go.
I do wish there was a combat speed slider but I've wanted that since DA:O and have long since basically given up on that idea.
Bring on the crafting video!

That's what a detailed tactics system is for. You do the planning so that you need to intervene as little as possible. I would've liked the more detailed system back.
Capone,
Thank you for finally giving us a decent look at the AI option.
BioWare,
Why???
This may be, marginally, better then the AI options of other games. But it's no where near the advanced tactics in the first 2 games of the series. Why the backward movement in this part of the game?
I thought it was such a lovely feature. Put a bit of thought into a series of if>thens and then I didn't have to micromanage every damn fight.
Now... I'm going to end up spending much more time then I want to paused in tactical cam.

The game really isn't that deep folks -- it was designed to be a quick-romp through Orlais on Normal difficulty, with Friendly-Fire off, and a Xbox controller in your hand.
Never thought I'd say this, but judging from the videos I've seen on Youtube, the Multiplayer zones will require more planning, coordination, and strategy than the single-player campaign -- I may spend more time online than I previously imagined.
One can also assume the AI for the party members are a lot smarter by default than DAO as an example, where it seemed they would just stand around if you didn't set up tactics.
So the streamlining might not be bad, but they also took out the convoluted way of setting it up. I do believe that it is almost as complex as the original tactics just better setup for selection.

No it isn't. It's a bad thing when they game effectively plays itself
