I'm in the same boat! Comes out on the 20th here and I have my uni exams on the 21st and 22nd. Seriously, just my luck.

Well, EU here, so the relevant date for me is the 20th. Actually, it's late evening on the 19th, and that's not happening due to me having the backbone of an earth worm if I start it up and then have to head to bed to be awake for work. So it'll have to wait until I get home from work on thursday. On the plus side, I then have 10 days off...

I'm actually not sure which day I'll get the game. I pre-ordered the PC Collector's Edition from my local Gamestop and they told me the release date is the 21st. However, according to everyone else the release date in my country is the 20th. I went back and checked and apparently all the the versions of DA:I except the PC CE release on the 20th. The guy working there said there had to be some mistake and that I will probably get it the 20th.

 

I'm afraid to get my hopes up too much even though I won't be able to play it right away on the 20th anyway. First I have my last day of internship at the mammography department, then I have to travel to Gamestop and back to my home (which will take at least an hour), after that I have to workout and hope that there won't be any installation issues. I'll have 3 days off after that but I'll have to spend time packing, cleaning and travelling during that period for my next internship.

I have to work until 9pm on release day and then be back at work at 8am Wednesday morning. I can pre-load tomorrow, but that doesn't mean much. I've also got a physical copy that's supposed to arrive on the 18th. (Yes, I bought two copies. You're welcome, BioWare.) I won't be able to really fire the game up until Wednesday night and then, you know, I have to work the rest of the week. Grown up responsibilities and all. I've got a week off in December, and that's probably when I'll really get into it and hunker down and not sleep, living off coffee and adrenaline, and just play.

 

If I could actually play this weekend it would be fantastic because it's supposed to snow and no one's going to be going anywhere. So yeah. *shrug* Life, eh?

That is some serious dedication right there.

 

It's about priorities. I want to finish my masters, do well in the coursework, produce a good dissertation and to get an offer to do PhD in United States or United Kingdom. I'm from Malaysia and since my decision to do postgraduate studies did not go well with my parents who wanted me to work, I had to fork my own money. Part of that meant I had to sell my beloved gaming PC to get money. 

 

So now I have no rig to play games on and I have no time for serious roleplaying. Hence the decision to take an extended leave of sorts from gaming. 

 

I don't play but I still follow the news, the updates, forums and what have you.

This is a support thread for all us sad pandas who won't be able to start playing the game at midnight on Nov. 18th but will rather have to wait until the evening or even the next day.

 

I pre-ordered the game through Amazon so it's going to be shipped to me on the 18th, but I won't actually be able to play until probably around 10 PM that night due to real life stuff I have to do.

 

Who else is in this same, sad boat?

Same sad boat here. Sadly i doubt i will be able to get the game before december. At least there will be a couple of patches so the game will run perfectly when i will play it.

I really, really shouldn't even play the game until Dec. 3rd at the earliest, because I'm in a Master's program right now, and this is my second-to-last semester, and I can't afford to let my grades tank.   But I can't resist Dragon Age! So I just have to hone my willpower and self-control so I can still do all my school work, whilst also playing DA. Now, let's see if I can actually do it...

I'm in the UK, so I most certainly won't be playing it on the 18th  But anyway, I'm going on a long weekend with friends the day DA:I releases, which is a bit of a bummer, but it'll probably work out for the best, given that I've ordered from Gamestop UK and I have absolutely no experience with them and when they deliver new products. Plus, I have a big job interview on the 20th, so I need to train my mind to be more occupied on that

I'm ordering it from Amazon as well.  I was hoping there wouldn't be a patch so I could just plug it in and upload my WS and be good, but according to twitter there is a day 1 patch.  My connection is very shoddy through the ps3 if I want to do anything other then just log in, so it'll be going to my friends house.  Good thing we have a standing plans to hang out every Tuesday (not going to miss Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D).

This may not be your problem, but my PS3 downloads 20-100 times faster with a plugged-in internet connection vs the PS3's WiFi.  If you haven't tried it, it is certainly worth a go.

I pre ordered mine off of Amazon too and I went for the same day shipping,says it will be delivered to me on the 18th at 8 pm...which is fine. Hey at least you will still be playing it on the 18th some people have to wait a few days longer to play it.

I pick up the PS4 copy of the game on release day. I pay off the PS4 console and pick that up on Dec. 3rd.

Preordered it but likely won't be able to play it until during the break for Thanksgiving since I have a midterm exam the day after it releases and a paper due the day after that(which I am currently procrastinating on).

I work most of the day on the 18th, and my new PS4 probably wont be delivered until the 19th anyway.

 

 

Luckily, most of my major class papers and projects have been due this week and this weekend, so I wont have too much school related work keeping me from getting some good play time out of DAI.
