German User here and I must say: Nope.

It seems we EU People can not Preload until November 17. Even as my Billing is done / processed a while ago, it still dont work. Even switching the Language in Origin to EN-US or EN-GB makes no difference. I tried Korean, Canadian, USA, Russian and Singapore VPN Server. No Luck.

I was able to Preload the DDE incl. all Bonus Content on Saturday Morning.

Did you buy direct from Origin or did you activate a code you bought elsewhere?

I'm starting to suspect Origin registers your IP at the moment of purchase and cross-references it when you try to preload.

I did originally buy it through origin, but as with everyone else, couldn't vpn/predownload before the transaction is fully completed. So I tried buying it through GMG, got the code the second i bought it, registered the key, did the vpn thing, and bam! It works fine <3

As someone else has copy pasted spammed in most topics, origin wont charge you till up to 5 days before the release, or in most cases when you predownload. (That's the moment you get the key).

But getting a key from another source/site, and registering it, works fine.

Well, there is that part in your account settings in Origin where you state your location/country, maybe that's how they lock the preload. However, I just bought a code on another side, received it immediately and am currently downloading in Germany.

Seems like those who ordered straight from Origin have to wait until the transaction is beyond 'processing', I guess. Hope it completes on/before monday >.>.

Some other online shops seem to use that method as well. At least Amazon states that the order will be charged when the preload starts.

The only issue I have currently is though, that I have to stay connected to VPN opposite to what has been stated in this thread earlier that you could disconnect after about 100 MB have been reached. I paused the download at 150, turned Origin off, turned VPN off and went back to Origin with my normal IP but it kept giving me download errors. So I reconnected to a Korean VPN and now it's working again.

Can someone else from Europe confirm that problem or is it just me and I should retry after some more MB have been downloaded?

You do not pause the download, just do following:

Start VPN

Start Origin

Begin the Download

After a while (downloading a few mb's)

Turn off VPN

-------------------------------

That's it.  Do NOT pause/Exit Origin, just simply disable the VPN :)

Ahh, that makes sense... thanks for the explanation. Oh well, my preload can wait a few days.

Anyone who buyed through Origin directly, has to wait until the official Preorder Day. Its Monday 17 for most of Europe. Seems Origin closed that part of the "VPN Preload Hole". EA got my Money on October 30. I still have to wait too.

EDIT: I was able to Preload the DDE incl. all Bonus Content on Saturday Morning.

But we should be able to play on November 17 anyway by using a Korean, US or CA VPN to Authorize and Activate the Game.

2.5 more Days.

18 Hours 45 Minutes :)

Just an FYI, I bought DA:I through Origin directly and am in Australia. I am able to preload today with the Korean VPN, 3 days earlier than I normally would.

Aw man, german user here. It's too bad we have to wait till the 17th to actually preload the game. (Since I bought

it via origin....) I guess we're still able to play the game on the exact same day as long as you use the vpn.

EA Overlords strikes again.

I bet they were watching this thread waiting for us to fail on pre load but jokes on them next time I won't pre order on origin.

If you bought the Digital Deluxe you can listen to the soundtrack now. Just have to look for the files underneath your Origin directory on your C drive.

Its after Midnight here in Germany so I tried again. I can now Preload the Game :)

EDIT01: After 150MB I disconnected the Korean VPN without pausing the DL in Origin: Running with full Speed (12 Megabyte / Sec.) now.

For those wondering if they can "get in trouble" for preloading: Open Origin and tab down Accounts and Privacy in the top left. Go to orders, and if your preorder says "Completed," it's safe to use VPN even if you haven't been charged yet.

I'm fully preloaded with the soundtrack, deluxe content, everything. It's probably a good idea to close and open Origin again and "Repair" the preload to verify all files downloaded successfully.

Now to wait until 7am PST Monday...

Just a quick update: This does NOT WORK *IF* you are stuck on "Processing" on payment.

The solution is to bite the sour apple and go through the painful process of creating a paypal account and use paypal as your payment method. This way there was no processing crap anymore.

Currently pre-loading. Sorry guys. You HAVE to use paypal payment for it to work if stuck on processing.

I now have 2 canceled pre-orders on my transaction page :P
