I already mess up with the sealed chantry, so I wonder if the story with the Horned Knight will have consequences with the Divine?

Also, do I need clues for the end of the game, or just the trophies, secrets and viands?

I'm also wondering what the outcome of the Horned Knight will be, as I accepted his request at the end of the quest and now I'm waiting on what will come of it. In 2 market days I will find out.

I think it was alluded to at his feast that the horned knight was created by the Shame, since he also seems to be obsessed with him/it I imagine he won't want you to restore Seraults honor and will ruin the divines feast.

I just finished the game and I can only give you what I decided to do. It went well, but I will put it under a spoiler cut. I guess this is a big spoiler for the end of the game.

He comes to the feast and wishes to give the Divine a gift. If your rulership is high enough (mine was 50+20 and the challenge was modest), you can ask him to let you see it first. I went with that out route and nothing bad happened. Also, just trophies, viands, and secrets, but bring a good number of each. The more you have the better you will do.

I know only that my rulership should have been enough, 90% probability of success and managed to fail anyway

if you fail this challenge the Horned Knight will hate you, go away and declare you "unwelcome"; it says the forest is no more safe for you...don't know what that could cause yet, though

It's a missing Chantry sister who has been turned into a "living garden," complete with dandelions for eyes. D:

 

I didn't let him give it to the Divine, but apparently her approval goes down if you do. I think you are able to salvage the situation with enough secrets/viands/trophies, but I don't know for sure.

I got the Despairing Headsman card on 2 market days left... Is it too late to finish the Horned Knight's questline?  I sent the bard as emissary into the forest, but that just ended the quest line with nothing more to do... no reward, nothing.  Pretty lame.

You have to wait. That quest doesn't happen all at once.

Well I just completed the Divine's Feast and handled the Horned Knight Event. Spoiler below is my discussion on the matter.

Well that was anti-climatic, for me at-least anyways. He came forward during the Feast (thankfully alone and without his forest entourage) and proposed presenting a gift to the Divine. I was able to use my high Rulership bonus to ask that he present the gift to me first (the Warning Dialogue all over the screen made me think this the only sane option) and boy was I happy I did. His gift to the Divine was a Chantry Priestess, lost in the woods earlier apparently, who had dandelions over her eyes and hair growing "out through her skull" as the description read. A "Living Garden" he called it, so I said I would present "it" to the Divine afterwards. He was happy and then vanished in a flourish of leaves, then I quickly sent the "gift" to the abbess in the hopes that she could purify the "thing". I still cannot quite tell from this text whether or not the woman was alive but enchanted or dead (hopefully the former). The matter ended right there and the Feast went on as normal, although I imagine that had I gone through with letting him give the gift to her that I would have lost  lost the game.

 

No amount of fine venison can make up for that sight...

 

That said, I had been hoping for more out of this as I had sacrificed the freedoms of an innocent hunter (he is also called a poacher, so maybe he was not innocent?) and my Bard in the hopes that this would all be worthwhile. I was planning on restarting my game anyways, just to see if I could get a higher score, and my new decisions will likely focus on the Horned Knight.

 

 

Can anyone add a spoiler below on their experience for denying the requests of the Horned Knight? What are the consequences and what options get blocked out?

I denied firmly every request he made, treating him as a preposterous fool challenging my authority... and so he became my ennemy :

He succeeded in preventing the creation of a new road wanted by the Abbess, I was unlucky when I tried to secure the work. But it was a small matter quickly forgotten. And later, I was unwelcome in the woods. A Menace Card was added to the hunting deck, but I was able to discard it whenever it appeared. It didn't bother me, all my hunts were successful anyway.

Again thanks for the answers, today I finished the last court and I was lucky to get pass the rulership check, so no problems with the Horned Knight at the end. 

Sadly I didn't have the same luck with the sealed chantry... xD

Started a new game so I can't get the exact text, but I let the HK give his gift to the Divine without seeing it first.  (First thing I did so no favours from the Divine)

 

The Divine was horrified and ran off to stay outside of Serault which ended the game.

 

Serault ended up with essentially getting a bad-ass reputation.

 

Officially:  a most satisfactory ending.

Event: The Horned Knight Approaches You promised to permit the Horned Knight to bring a gift to the Divine. Did you keep your promise? WARNING! An unwise decision here may destroy everything you have worked for. Are you sure you want to do this? Let him present his gift This is unlikely to go well. It'll be an evening to remember, but you'll be lucky if the Divine doesn't set her Templars on you.

A truth too ugly to hide
Three knocks at the door of the hall. The Templars are on their feet immediately. The door swings back, and there is the Knight, and there his 'gift'. All this you see in a moment's blaze of torchlight: his 'gift' is one of his living gardens, in this case a lost priestess of the Chantry. The flowers in her auburn hair grow out through her skull, and when she turns her face to the light, smiling vacantly, you see she has dandelions in place of her eyes. Uproar! Bodyguards unsheathe their swords and hustle the Divine through the back of the hall. Other bodyguards rush the Knight. Bellowing with rage, he parries their blows with his mailed arm, pushes the 'gift' into their path, and is gone. The Feast is in utter chaos. Nobles rise from their seats and call for their entourage. Servants hide under tables. The Bard tries to strike up a tune, twice, but eventually shrugs and settles in the corner with a cask of wine to watch the fun. You do not see the Divine again. She will not sleep under your roof: she takes rooms in Serault Town, across the Bridge of Masks. A Templar brings you a curt message in the morning. She indicates that you may expect a visit from her Seekers, and commands you to co-operate fully in their investigation. She does not mention Serault's Shame. That could have gone better. On the other hand... you've done something they'll make songs about. The Knight at the Feast. The Marquis who Dared. The Divine who Fled. If your intention was to follow in the steps of your infamous great-grandfather... you've made a good start.
