Frostbite Engine notoriously mod-unfriendly but will appearance overhauls still come out?

However lets not insult the Devs by insinuating that everything always needs to be fixed. It's understandable that you want to make things work the way you want but it's not by all means the only "correct" way.

I disagree. The way you want is the obly correct way. Only a game that offers a remarkably flexible experience can get away with being unmoddable, and modern games tend to be the opposite.

The benefit of mods is that each player can enjoy the game the way he prefers, without forcing that playstyle on other players.

It particularly matters now that its not usually possible to rollback patches. Without the ability to choose which version of the game you run, mods become the only way to overcome unwelcome changes.

I think ENB/light and shading stuff will probably be what we see first. Not sure how long it will be before we see anything else.

Mod to make necromancer summon last forever please.

That might be doable...hopefully all we have to do is alter the duration of the spell to a really long number via Cheatengine or something.

The answer is probably yes. But you'll have to wait a year or so before the nodders experience and such enough to do a visual overhaul.

The only mods I ever really got were more hair and eye colors, and hair styles. So if I don't get those then I think ill be fine.

Let's just hope there is no section that will sorely use a skip mod like the fade lol.

Or a need for something to fix a game breaking issue like the "Silverite Mines Bug-fix" mod.  My only concern with no mods is "game breaking bugs that pop up".  Often those were repaired by modders faster than a patch would come out from Bioware.  I know they are trying to clean up as much as they can before presenting us the most bug free fun game they possibly can, but they are only human.  That said, I also know that "things happen".

While more hair, alternate companion appearance and other texture mods for armor or weapons would be nice, I'm more concerned about bugs.

Not all games need mods. If it's a linear story like Tomb Raider having mods wouldnt add anything to the game

There are already a couple of appearance mods available on the Nexus site.
