PC Gamer did a fantastic overview of all the choices of the Dragon Age Keep which serves as a great primer to those who missed either of the past two DA games (or skipped both). It also serves as a good refresh course for those of us who forgot little details. Watch it here. Word of caution, it is almost 2.5 hours long!

P.S. Sorry if this is old news but I thought it was very useful.

Note to mods: This is obviously full of spoilers but it pertains to DA:O and DA2. There are no real spoilers for DA:I. So I thought to post here. If it is inappropriate here, please move.

EDIT
Another useful resourse:

Kotaku just posted a generic Dragon Age setting primer that's useful for newcomers to the series.

I watched this the other day - I didn't need the refresher but it was still a nice overview. Had it on in the background while I was doing something else. Not to mention, it's really funny! XD

Oh yes, they're pretty funny. The three rules of dragon age bit had me rolling.

Thanks for the link!

This is really cool! I have absolutely no need for this (since I am a huge lorehound and remember both games pretty well) but the video is really entertaining.

Although that is so not what the Dwarf Commoner Origin is about! Grr!

Yeah, the only inaccurate bit. But everything else is great.

The Three Rules of Dragon Age thing is pretty accurate, really. I think that'll probably stick in my mind during my first playthrough of DA:I.

However, I'll be playing a mage who may, in fact, want to touch that anyway.

This will be pretty valuable. I barely remember DA2 at all (and I didn't even play Act III).

I'll add it to the first post.

Anyone know of other articles or videos that might be useful for newcomers?

thanks for posting this, just what I needed since I never finished DA2, though I did the keep choices myself (thanks to the dragon age wiki and reading up for the choices I didn't know) I still was a bit lost on some characters and story elements.
