i going put here but dont have a source it what someone told me they saw on a tor guild forum which im not a member of. he said the guy claimed did some data mining. well the only it sounds pausible to me. is there alot people swear merrill was in the skyhold video talking bout hawke. i  watched it but i think missed if she was in there

She can also be the keeper mage from multiplayer mode. I saw an video with her and she dresses just like Merrill. Anyway, it would be really cool if we could bring some former DA2 companions to stay at skyhold. Hawke would pull wise cracks every night at the tavern.

Wow! Like I knew from the get go, letting my old dwarf buddy keep that thing was a no no, but I always thought the choice would be trivialized, as in if you let him keep it, he just has dialogue hints of him going mad in Inquisition, nothing major...but this...this...this is really making me consider all the other choices that I wrote off as not mattering much..balls on you Bioware, kudos.

what will be iinteresting and i'm looking forward to seeing is how they handle Hawke and interaction with our new character.

Well, my second play through has to potential to be very depressing with that choice. Also, I bet Bioware has a lot of surprises that we don't know yet and I can't wait to find out.

I didn't let him keep the shard in my canon state of DA2, so he's not going to have it in my canon state of DAI.

Maybe I'll watch the YouTube or start some non-canon states IDK.

I didn't let him keep the shard thought it was obvious that would be a bad idea.  Still not sure if letting Merrill keep the mirror is okay or not. My  warrior Hawke that romanced her let her keep it my mage Hawke didn't.

LMAO. Ikr. I forgot whether I let him keep it or not. But when I read it in The Keep I went: "I wouldn't let him have it tbh." 

Then I checked the journal of DA2. It seems I did let him keep it. So I changed it in The Keep.

 

But well.. after reading this ****. Yeah. Time to change it again.

did Varric say he ran off with some rebel mages? Because I thought he was supposed to stay with Hawke. Just want to make sure my keep state imported properly. It has me concerned I'll have to play the first 4 hours again!

I read in one of the reviews that Varric got the Anders treatment anyway, so I might just put him out of misery in subsequent playthroughs...he gets a chance the first time around though, and might not ever have this done to him if still likeable even with all humor gutted from the character.

Indeed - he'd probably do it on the idea it'd 'keep Hawke safe'. An insight into Ander's selfishness is probably the only valid thing Sebastian ever contributed.

From what I read in the spoiler forum here was that Morrigan kills Merrill on the other side of the mirror or something like that.

 

I honestly think they were just joking on that one.

That would be one of the best outcomes possible for the choice. I do not buy it, though.
