As the title says really, the amount will be pretty much my buy/not buy tipping point, the straw that broke the camels back if you will. So can I please get an honest answer?
How much can we oppose the chantry?

I don't think you can choose to destroy the chantry however.

From what I saw, alot. You can outright tell many people including Leliana, Cass and even a high ranking cleric you don't believe in the Maker or that you reject the title given on to oyu.
do we then still have to work for them? Deeds not words count, and telling them to go jump, then working with/for them is pointless.

I think so. I got this info in the Cassandra thread from an user. Like I said, I don't know if this is true or not.

From what I've seen, I'm actually more concerned about have no options to side with or support the Chantry. So far all the companions that are supposedly sided with the Chantry have either left or seem to be distancing themselves from it, and the Chantry officials that we've seen so far seem to be opposed to the Inquisition.
I'd actually like to make a character that can support or work to build a better, less corrupt Chantry, instead of one whose almost forced to work against it to accomplish the main mission.

Same, my first quizzy wants to suport the chantry as much as possible. So hopefully this is possible.

well there are some ways but one major way is to....
But in a nonspolier way just do things that will make them angry at the Inquisition.

The Inquisition existed long before the chantry and the templars. It is the Origins of the templars and perhaps also of the templars? To me, it makes sense that The Inquisition in this game are at odds with the Chantry - and possibly - the Templars as well? The Inquisition in this game will do what such an organisation does - inquire to find out who's responsible for the Breach in the sky. And if that means telling the Chantry and the Templars to sod off, then so be it - apparently...

Yep, the Inquisition, the original one, was even older than the Chantry. It is the origins of both the Templars and the Seekers, and only 'joined' with the Chantry over time.
And now it is being reborn, and breaking off from the Chantry.
I don't think you can outright, totally, oppose the Chantry in DAI. However, you can distance yourself significantly. Many of the Chantry may come to revere the Inquisitor, but that is something you can speak out against.
But again, remember that the original Inquisition was less about the Maker, and more about discovering how to stop demons, blood mages, and Old God cults, post-First Blight.
The original Inquisition was known for two things: protecting others from the dangers of magic and demons, and ruling as a powerful force that judged mages and non-mages alike.
Eventually, the new Chantry and the Inquisition (which I guess were at odds until then) came to an accord and largely merged into the Chantry+Templars+Seekers deal that lasted for 100s of years.
So that's the main routes this Inquisitor can take, seems to be themed around the two ways that the original Inquisition was understood. You can put emphasis on cooperation with others (and this may include the Chantry, even if you don't merge with them(?)), or you can run a more tyrannical operation (and this may include nearly totally opposing the Chantry) due to the dire circumstances. Either way may have their own dangers.
But I don't expect to meet large armies of the Chantry on the battlefield, no. The main enemies of DAI's main storyline seem to be the Templars (in various forms?), Venetori, and Demons as a whole.

Why not abuse the skirt lover priests to further our goal of world domination via burning heretics?

Andraste was a heretic, she turned her back on the Avvar gods to found this cult, so her followers are just as guilty. Burn them as well (and their is the human warrior speaking)

I sure can't wait to roll my mage who supports the Chantry, Andraste, and the Circle. It's gonna be fun embodying everything the BSN resents about the Dragon Age universe.

I thought the Inquisition's purpose was to oppose the Breach, not other people already living In the world?
Wrong game. Maybe next time!
