I would love in the dragon age:inquisition game to be able to capture and ride a dragon and especially for the dragon breath fire down on the  enemies in the game. I think that would be cool in a dlc with also be able what someone suggested in a twitch stream to be able to ride a cave bear and the cave bear to attack the enemies in the game. I think these two ideas would be awesome if you could pull it off bioware  or if you can't maybe put it in the next dragon age game.

To OP: 1. Play Skyrim

            2. Ride Dragon

            3. Enjoy having your dreams crushed

            4. Get a copy of Drakan: Order of the flame

            5. Live your dream and get your eyes burned by the low res textures (its from 1999)

            6. Realise that unfortunately not all things work out the way they should. Dragon riding in DA:I would be a gimmick like 1 and not a feature like 4.

 

Dragon riding does not honestly fit into the lore of Thedas . Unless you dominate their minds I'm sure its incredibly difficult getting them to stop seeing you as food and loads of people would want to shoot you out of the sky . Also where would you would need to always have enough food to feed a massive, vicious, intelligent creature and the only dragon large enough to fly on is the high dragon. You do not want her to attract male friends . Those are extra mouths to feed/extra predators who want to eat you . Also female dragons spawn huge clutches. You will not make your inquisition popular doing this, especially if you are a mage

I think its a wonderful idea. Maybe in DA4 we'll get to play a Navarran dragon hunter/tamer.

Rideing a large highe dragon is a bit to much & to big a male dragon (drakes) i think is fine there a lot smaller still breathe fire but dont fly and are i think mount size. But we do have that lizard like mount it doesent breathe fire but mostlikely the closest to a dragon we will get.

 

allmost forgot wyverns would be cool they spit venome are dragon like can glide but as a mount the won't glide and are solitary and as seen in DA2 DLC can kindove be tamed and are not very big and are mount size.

It quite doesn't fit the lore of Dragon age for one and secondly it brings a little bit of an OP boost to your character. Quite difficult to implement with the projected gameplay in the game.

 

So I guess the idea is good, but better suited for another game probably
