Logging in through the game is 100% impossible.

Allows you log in to be clicked, allows email and password to be entered in, DOES NOT allow you to click log in

I have an account, how am I posting here without it?

I click edit log in details, it brings me directly to my profile right here on this site, shows my profile, but then says I have no dragon Age Origins Data Uploaded.

How the hell are you supposed to get Data uploaded if it's impossible to log in through the game, but you can only log in through the game if you have already uploaded DATA?

WTF is no data uploaded mean anyway?

You cannot have any special characters in your password.. If you do it will not let you log in through the game but you still will be able to from the web.. No Strong Passwords it seems

I have to agree with this. At least try no special characters (or different special characters) in your password here for social.bioware.



Last night - from the game main menu when I tried to "Log In" i could get all the way to the Terms of Service agreement and then I would get "Server Error. If the problem persists..." when I agreed.



Once you get logged in at least once - your profile here under "My Games" then "Dragon Age Origins - PC (or whatever)" will have some data.

I've had the same problem since I got the game 2 days back and sent an email to customer support. EA finally replied to my request for assistance about an hour ago - only to request more details, but here's hoping they come through tomorrow and get this fixed up for me.

I'll let you guys know if they fix this for me.

Ok so the Dragon Age Origins Data messgae has nothing to do with being able to log in or not log in then.

I thought it was saying the reason I couldn't log in, WAS because I didn't have any Data uploaded, and I thought you couldn't get any Data uploaded until you logged in.

I was not worried about the data....I was wondering if that message had to do with why I was not able to log in.

Anyone know what ports need to be opened up for this thing? I've opened up the TCP ports 80, 8000 and UDP ports 80, 8001 per the instructions in the manual but I'm still not able to click "Log In" after entering my email address and password.



P.S. A look at my firewall log shows the game polling on ports higher than 40k, I really prefer not to open up my entire network just to log in.

Are you @#$@#$ kidding me?  It's 2009 and someone still has a system that fails if you use special characters in your password?

Someone needs to get fired for that.

Run cmd as admin and type in the following command to turn off ECN

netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled

Worked for me at least.

Yeah, I tried that too. Still, it thinks that I'm not connected to the internet. The IP address that it's trying to connect to is: 159.153.235.3 on port 18081. I've tried opening that one too..still no luck.

***EDIT***
Oh yeah, I'm using a simple alphanumeric password, so password complexity shouldn't be an issue.

As a side note, I have special characters in my password and it works fine. Might be only certain characters that don't work,
