Also, will it be possible to register the serial with Origin, like you can with games on Steam?
If I buy the disk version will I need to insert the disk every time I play?

Nope! Pretty sure you'll be able to re-download the game after if you want if it's connected to your account.

All you have to do is enter the Key into Origin, and DL it through there instead of installing with the discs, then you can keep your copy pristine, and just run it through Origin. That's what I had to do with Origins, although it's still buggy in that it asks me to verify it every time I don't launch it through Origin.

You don't even need the disk. All you are buying is the license anyway. So you could plug the serial code into Origin and download it from there if you wanted.

Depends really, some games require a disk at all times, others don't. DAO did, so DA:I probably will require a disk.

The discs are needed to install the game faster than downloading.
You will need to register the serial while installing. After that the discs are not needed.

will I need to insert the disk every time I play?
No, the discs are for installation only.
lso, will it be possible to register the serial with Origin, like you can with games on Steam?
That is exactly what happens when you install the game via disc, since it is installed via Origin.
Also, some internet connections are faster to download than to install and swap 4 discs. ![]()

Is it really four discs if you buy the physical PC version?

Big, yes. Awesome, we'll see.
I have fond memories of Wing Commander games. Maybe there'll be lots of FMVs.....

My English install is 24.5 Gig. And we have 2 other full VO languages on the discs.

I really wish we could just download one version. I bet it would cut that down quite a bit. (of the VO I mean)

so 25 Gig partition is enough to run this game?

Personally I'm estatic to use the disc's to load the game on my PC as downloading would take forever as I use High Speed Dial up and I don't think my wife would be happy if I tied up the phone lines for 4 or 5 days downloading a game.

My word. When's the last time a game required you to keep the disc in?!

Lol. I'd add a gb or two for save files, maybe 10-20 gb for dlc/expansions.

4.7 GB (single-sided, single-layer – common)
8.5–8.7 GB (single-sided, double-layer)
9.4 GB (double-sided, single-layer)
17.08 GB (double-sided, double-layer – rare)
i guess these DVD's are single-sided, double-layer otherwise 4 DVD's wouldn't be enough for 20GB's
Yup, DVD9s are single sided, double layered discs(thanks google!)
