Hello, I'm not sure if this has been addressed officially. Is there some way that we can edit the faces of our heroes so that if they reappear in a later game they will look like how we designed them to be? I tried asking this before we could make our own threads and it was buried. Also, I was told that the portraits in the keep serve no real purpose other than being in the keep.

If anyone knows what the verdict is on this please let me know. I would really hate to see my heroes in another game with someone else's face. I would rather them not be in the game at all then show up not looking like how I created them. Maybe the game they appear in they could let us recustomize our characters if it's not possible to import? I would rather have that spoiled to me then see default dan run up and high five me.

Also, I've been trying to stay in the dark regarding Inquisition so please keep the spoilers contained to faces of heroes.

Keep doesn't import your character/appearance. It is for syncing  your achievements.  If the character appears in the game, I would imagine you use CC designed for the game to remake them since Inquisition uses a different engine than the previous two as it would be impossible to recreate your warden/Hawke accurately as originally conceived.

I'm really hoping that we'd be able to remake them in CC but I have a feeling that won't happen.

BW has acknowledged we will want any recurring character to look the same as he/she did in our previous games has confirmed it will therefore be possible to "customise" them. Whether this is a full CC or something more limited, we don't know, but it won't be necessary to play with the default faces.

Well that is somewhat reassuring.

Since Hawke has been confirmed to appear in DA:I, there is no way their appearance is not the same as in DA2. I wonder how this will play out, but I'm pretty confident it's imported.

Appearance is just a bunch of variables. Nose: 3, Eyes: 4. So I don't see why not.

Different ways of rendering. New hairstyles etc

But again, those are just sliders, and behind the sliders there are numeric variables. You can theoretically match some of the new hairstyles with the old hairstyles from DA2. This is just speculation, of course, but this is doable.

You can but that's not the way they did it. You only upload an image of your Hawke to the Keep, not some kind of alphanumerical sequence that could be then again imported to DA:I. It's been even said that the way DA:I Character Creator is now, it doesn't support this kind of input.

Your Hawke has 3 noses and 4 eyes?!

OT:

The devs have said that, although appearance isn't imported, we will be able to re-construct the appearances of the Warden or Hawke should we encounter them.

Personally, I'm guessing that this will be done by having your character see a painting or hear a description of the Warden/Hawke shortly before encountering them, which would then segue into a Character Creator if you want to use something other than default appearance.

Thanks for the information! Looking forward to something like "Sir, can you describe the perpetrator?"

Can you possibly point me to the place where the devs said you'd be able to recustomize their appearance should they appear again?
