Out of curiosity what stats are needed for the divines visit? Do I even need derring-do because I've got +40 where I could grab another +20 cunning and +20 rulership and those sound more useful for the divine.

I don't think stats matter to the Divine, that's just for the challenges

I thought there were a few checks, but then again that might only have been if you've done something.

Yeah, there are a couple of checks with the Divine related to granting petitions from various characters. I can't remember which ones they are actually, I think a few were Rulership.

Well if a few are rulership I doubt any will be derring-do. What sucks though is I keep gaining 6 and 4 and it's a long process to getting freedom, dignity, and prosperity up for the divine. Not sure if I need to but it's really hard when you still trade 10 for 10 but only are gaining 6 in a stat and like 3-4 clues. :/

AFAIK dignity/prosperity/freedom aren't required for the Divine's feast, only Viands/Trophies/Secrets.

It may influence the ending text you get (I've seen some people get a "very satisfactory ending" instead of "a most satisfactory ending") but that's a tiny thing.

If you choose to unseal the Chantry, there's a check you're going to want to pass with either Cunning or Scholarship at the end.

Freedom/Dignity/Prosperity don't seem to affect the Divine's opinion.

I had I think 64 Rulership with the advisor boost (mine was the Guildmistress). Seemed most of the checks were that, if not all. I only failed one check. I guess it could depend on story choices. My other stats, for reference, were like 54 Derring Do (Hunter bodyguard), like 65 Cunning (Outlaw accomplice), and high-mid thirties woodswise. I didn't have a Lover. Just finished the game. It's entirely possible to get the best ending without ever reaching 100 on Freedom, Dignity, or Prosperity. I went the secrets path when that opened up, and I ended up with 24 secrets, three trophies and three viands from story quests alone. I hunted for three more viands and some trophies, but I gave all my regular hunt trophies to the Silent Hunter. Just try to get your character stats up enough so you don't lose many checks on the important moments. I had 6 extra Secrets, but the more skill checks you lose, the more three item sets you need. Don't be afraid to lose checks early, because you're investing in skill growth for later on in the unique quests when it matters more. Get your story quests done priority, because you can still hunt when you're down to one market day, but everything else will get cut short if you put them off until then.

Played Scholar. Oh yeah, 50 in Scholarship, but that's the starting value for the Scholar.

I have seen a fair number of people get lots of secrets, but in my play through as the huntress I could only get 8 (not finished 1 market day left) I was able to get 15 trophies and 15 viands. What path choice gives you all these secrets?

My stats are

Rulership       64 +20

Scholarship   47 +20

Derring-Do    65 +20

woods-wise   81

Cunning        53 +20

Doing the Dour Lordship case gives something like 11 as I recall.
