Yes, I know there are many more Topics about this - but none of those could help me with my specific problem with Origin.

So, first of all, i want the english version of Inquisition, definitely NOT German. To achieve this, i selected "English" for the language of the Origin client. I pre ordered Inquisition 2 months ago (Standard Edition). I used a VPN in the US to log into my Origin Account (to be sure everything is in english) - and it's still processing and "Coming soon".

So - but when i change the language of the client to "German" - i suddenly got my pre load date - but it would load the German Voice over (i'd rather not playing the game if i only have the option for german vo)

When i'm changing back to english - nope. No Pre load date, no Launch date.

And yes, i bought Inquisition without the VPN, payed in hard earned Euros, even if it is more expensive than the US version.

So i'm really confused.

I searched Forums, looked up EA Help, but i don't find anything that could explain this behaviour of the Origin Client.

--------------------------------------------------

Solution : Change the Origin Client Language to "English GB" - restart Origin Client.

Hm u r right, i cant even find an option to change the language in older games. Not in origin or in e.g. DA O...

I am from germany, too. Dont know which language i want to use, but it would be nice to know, how to change it.

Well, that's the problem - you can't change it afterwards. You have to download it in the language you want, and you have to change the language of the origin client. If you got it in German, theres no turning back, you have to uninstall the game and redownload it.

Don't know whether that works for DA-I too, but in Titanfall you can change the language this way: http://help.ea.com/e...-game-language/

Concerning the older games like DA O and DA 2, you are able to change the language in a file called "DragonAge(Origins or 2)Config.exe" in the "bin_ship" folder of the game. For Inquisition I'd say try what henniheine suggested.

Thx, but this solution won't work, i'm afraid. German PC Magazines already confirmed that only one Language will be downloaded via Origin. It's not even possible to change the subtitles.

i had EXACTLY the same problem as you OP i even contacted ea customer support directly but they simply reassured me i have to wait untill release date and it will eventually sort itself out (not good if you want to use VPN, that's for sure).

so, i tried changing it to german and it showed preload and release date, whereas before i just got coming soon description.  then i chose ENGLISH GB option and i got the release/preload date! reverting language to ENGLISH US shows coming soon message again.

bottom line- change your language to english gb-  there seems to be a conflict with language and actual location for european people. let me know if this helped- and thank you for nudging me into the right direction!

edit: just to make clear, i'm neither from uk or germany, but the options worked for me still.

Yep, that did the trick - thank you so much !

Apparently Origin really bugs out if you choose the English US, despite the fact i used a US VPN. I guess it depends where you bought it - but it is REALLY weird.

Hm...I'm also running Origin in english and  I pre-ordered at the beginning of october. Yet Origins tells me pre-load is on 17th and release on 20th (living in Germany as well)

These are the normal Dates for Germany. So everything is fine (unless you're using a VPN  these dates are the correct ones)

@Mostly_Harmless i'm happy this worked for you too. i was starting to worry this would turn to a bigger issue. and you might consider putting a (solved) or (potential solution) into a title so people with similar issues can sort this put. i already posted new topic into scutlebutt (spoilers) section. :)

I'm in Austria and PSN says the game is coming on the 21.

Why do I get the game one day later, I live an hour away from the german border?!
