Are many still waiting for their Inquisitor's Edition pre-order to be processed by GameStop?

After seeing some users on here and via Twitter say that their Inquisitor's collectors Edition pre-orders had been processed as of Monday this week (10th November); are many still waiting for theirs to be processed at all? Mine is still listed as "Confirmed" on GameStop UK, no payment has been taken and I've not had an advance email advising me that this will happen at some point. 

 

This may simply be a supply issue, as in stock has not yet reached GameStop themselves, but this does make me slightly anxious as they do say in their T&Cs that in general payments are taken for pre-orders five days before dispatch. This is cutting it very close for orders to be delivered by next Friday...

They just charged for mine yesterday and it comes out here on Tuesday. It hasn't cleared yet so I haven't gotten any emails or anything. I only know they finally got around to billing me for it because I was checking balances and noticed the available amount was lower than expected and checked to see what money was being held for. Try not to worry if they haven't charged you yet. They only gave themselves four business days for mine to clear before it's supposed to be here. They'll probably bill you next week if they don't today.

Most of people talking about having it processed are in the US, I believe. My Uk shipment hasn't been processed yet, but another order that was due to be delivered today was processed on Monday and shipped on Wednesday (arrived yesterday). Assuming the Inquisitor's edition follows a similar pattern it should be processed around Monday/Tuesday. :)

I went in and paid for mine, yesterday, I even got to see an Inquisitor's Edition as the Danish Gamestops already have them, It looks damned impressive.

I paid for mine in full when I ordered, but it lists as "Open" on the site still which is described as "This order has one or more items that remain unshipped".  (EDIT - I'm in the US)

I emailed them and they said they process payments 2-7 days before release, and if you paid for the express shipping it would be dispatched 2 days before release (so, next Wednesday). So some people in the UK *might* have seen payments go out already, but I would imagine most will be processed next week. :)

I'm in the U.S., the payment has processed through the bank, but no email from GameSto, and on their site, it still shows as open. It's nothing to worry about yet, Swagger. If I don't get an email by Monday, I'll call customer service.

My card got charged on Monday (for the other, non-DAI thing) and I only got the e-mail when it was dispatched (Wednesday) rather than when payment was processed.

 

I should point out that the item (express shipping) arrived on Thursday with a Friday official release, so it's possible we might get DA:I a day earlier. :)

I'm hopeful of this, but as the fastest shipping option was "Next Day" I'm hesitant on holding my breath.  I'm emotionally prepared to wait until the 19th if I have to....

Ya that what i figured

 

Just a question when did you order i order May 15 maybe that why  but Idk i never got any email saying my order got cancel  actually it says it still open

My payment is still showing as possessing and it hasn't started to download onto my pc yet even though the pre-load is available today. should i try to get a hold of customer service or be patient?

Same for me. It's still pending my bank account - gamestop said they put a hold on the money and then they'll put the payment through fully when it ships.

I was hoping that'd be today, but it guess it'll be tomorrow for release date delivery (US)

I am still waiting for it to be charged to my account still. My order still shows open but nothing has been processed it seems like.

Starting to get a little worried.

Well, four days later and still no change, payment hasn't even been scheduled I don't think. I've contacted GameStop via email to see if they can get their asses in gear.

Even tho I have the Origin Digital Deluxe on PC, and I had refused to get the Inquisitor Edition as there is no boxed Deluxe Edition of the game for PC, I fell, mostly thanks for the hype and some friends, last month, to the Inquisitor Edition + the Deluxe Edition for Xbox One (thinking a bit at my brother for it).

 

The Inquisitor Edition box has been processed and prepared for collection, and the game disc itself has been processed (I've been invoiced) so within an hour it should be prepared for collection and shipped alongside the Inquisitor Box.

I have received emails first with the invoice, then shipping/tracking confirmation of the box, and as of now only the invoice for the game itself.

 

All of this from GameStop Italy.

 

 

Hope you guys in UK get your share of love as well.

 

Edit: I paid via PayPal and it was correctly debited on November 10th as two separate amounts: the Inquisitor Box and the Game itself.

Edit2: Update, game got shipped as well.

Not to alarm anyone--I'm sure most orders are fine--but I had an extremely poor experience with pre-ordering the IE, and I'm sure I'm not the only one; I ended up cancelling my order after all was said and done and went for the digital deluxe version instead. Hoping maybe some of the IE goodies might be available separately at some point? *cough* tarot cards *cough*

 

My sob story:

I pre-ordered back in May, and since my card was going to expire between then and now, I opted to use PayPal when I saw that was an option. My default settings for PP went to PayPal Credit/Bill Me Later, but when the payment went through, with both a confirmation from PP and GS, I figured all was fine.

 

Over the weekend I saw that my status was still "Open" and that I hadn't seen any activity on my PP account, so yesterday morning I call GS. Rep tells me that the order is still open, but hasn't processed because payment is being held on PP's end. So I call PP and got tossed between 4 reps, all confused about why my payment didn't go through. Eventually, the last person I talked to told me that GameStop doesn't accept PayPal Credit. This was news to me--Nothing on the order page made any mention of that, and normally, if Credit isn't accepted, it'll be denied up front.

 

GameStop also failed to alert me that they tried to authorize payment on November 11; I feel like some correspondence like "Hey, your payment method was denied, want to try another?" would have been extremely helpful.

 

So anyway, I called GS again to update my payment method to my debit card. That was fine--The rep took my information, updated my order, and told me that everything was good and I was still scheduled for release day delivery. I checked my status, email, and bank account after about 30 minutes and didn't see any kind of change or charge. That's when I realized the rep put my card information in incorrectly. Figured it was no big deal, but couldn't change it on the site, so I called again.

 

Apparently, my information was locked and the rep couldn't change it either. His solution was to go to a GameStop location and pick up a gift card for that amount, which was not an option since I was at work. I asked if he could call a few locations to see if they could put anything on hold for me, but that was a no-go as well. Eventually, after being on the phone for about two hours over the course of the whole ordeal, I said screw it and just cancelled my order.

 

I was really looking forward to the collectibles, but getting the game was more important, so I decided I'd rather have that as soon as possible than get the IE.

 

My prior pre-ordering experiences for any game have only been through Amazon, which have always been very smooth and transparent. I really hope in the future that EA/Bioware/whoever gets to make these calls considers not giving GameStop exclusivity to collector's editions. Stories like mine aren't unheard of, and I know quite a few people said no to the IE as soon as it was announced to only be for GameStop.

 

tl;dr: If you paid with PayPal or you think there might be something wrong with your payment method, especially if your order is still showing as open, definitely give GameStop a call.
