Do you need to complete Grissom Academy in order to romance Traynor?

 

For my one FemShep that will romance Traynor, I want to ignore Grissom Academy so I can kill Jack on the Cerberus HQ mission, but I have no idea if that locks you out of a Traynor romance.

 

Has anyone tried this and know if it works or not?

Yes I've done it a few times and still able to romance her. After the coup, she will mention the students possibly being rescued, but doesn't know.
