I'm not sure I want him as an ally.
One, he is a Chevalier. Never liked the Chevaliers, probably never will.
Two, he helped free a Forbidden One. The Inquisition is trying to stop the demon problem, not make it worse.

I actually liked him in ME at first he seemed annoying with his constant I'm Michel de Chevin and I'm a Chevalier
I was like dude we get it but I liked that he really followed that code without compromises even if there are sacrifices to be made (followed through with the promise he made to Briala even though he was the champion of the Empress)
Now he is hunted by Celene and her forces and isn't a Champion anymore but he still keeps going (finding Ishmael new purpose)
At the end probably my second favourite character (after Gaspard of course)
I did like Briala towards the end too when she finally stood up to Celene

As to Two, true enough, but he also set his purpose at the end of the book as hunting the demon he helped free and let loose within our world as a way of atonement for doing so. Now, people can certainly be beyond atonement, but he is also trying to stop the demon problem and has a very personal motivation to do so.

Well as to the first part, this is true, but by the end of TME, he walked away from that life.
As for the second: while he did free Imshael, he was tricked into it. He thought he was going to banish it back to the Fade.
I'm with those who liked Ser Michel. He was one of my favorite characters in the book, and really grew and changed (and overall became a better person) over the course of the story.

Does he stick around very long? I completely missed him in my first pass over the area.
Not that I'm sure I'll recruit him. I actually loathe him as a character - not on any moral grounds, just something about him fills me with murderous intent.
But just for completion's sake.

So I went back and found him but couldn't get him as an agent because I had already killed Imshael by that point and he got pissy that I waltzed in and did in a day what he'd been failing at for two years.
Oh well, no great loss.
