Is there anyone else on console that can verify how much they have by end game?

Over 900 sovereign spent and usually 100-200 still in my inventory at the end depending on how much I spent exactly.

Also, I have gotten Fade Wall twice having defeated Gaxkang 4 times on nightmare, that doesn't seem so rare. Not campared to Axameter once in over 300 hours of play.

Fade Wall = Random Gaxking drop

This. It's also rare. Some people have posted that it drops more if you're playing on Nightmare setting.

Ah, ok.  I was wrong on the drop.  It'd been a while since I recieved it, and couldn't remember if it was Gaxking, or Uldred who coughs it up.

If you want armor:

Helm of Honleath (4.5) or Corruption (4.75)

Massive Dwarven Armor (22.88), or Evon the Great's Mail (21.63)

Gloves of Diligence (6.1)

Boots of Diligence (4.63)

Lifegiver (3)

39.86-41.36 armor (and you get another point from combat training 4 and possibly another 2 points from the Smith's Belt and the Apprentice's Amulet.

I prefer Evon's chest piece, for the other bonuses, but in any case 40 points of armor will reduce most hits to 1 point of damage. However this isn't a set. I'd say the best sets are Cailan's Armor, Legion of the Dead, Blood Dragon Plate (but it's ugly as sin), Dwarven Massive Armor, Warden Commander's Armor and Wade's Superior Dragonbone. Juggernaut and Effort look good but they have horrible stats (but they are cheap).

1000? highest i ever got was 400+ , and i did all the side quests. Andruil's blessing is 100+ , life giver if 87, felon's coat is 82, ring of ages is i forgot but probably 80, buying runes ~40-50 , hence money all gone! oh yes and spell ward is 70ish? how can you have enough money?

I spent 1150 in my first playthrough, and still had like 200 to spare at the final battle :S Buying runes = wasting money
I bought Shadow from the Empire, Andruil, rose thorn's, lifegiver, all books, maxed backpack to 125, the 125's staff, ring of ages, and lots of recipes
