Violence has a Gore setting, and Nudity has generally been avoidable and restricted to Romances. But one has to encounter the language on their own at this point, so it seems a bit harder to avoid.

Couldn't someone just try to figure out a way to get over their irrational uncomfortableness with nudity, maybe through therapy or something?

So if what Lady Insanity said is true, that there are some romances that don't require you to have sex with the LI, then I think it's safe to say that not all of the romances will have nudity.
If that's the case, then it's a win-win situation. There will be romances for the people who want to see nudity. There will be romances for the people who don't want to see nudity. And there will be romances for those who do not care either way.
Surely this has to be acceptable to everyone, right?

So those who don't want it need psychiatric counseling? Very classy. ![]()

Depends on how it is spread out. If for example both Casandra and Josephine require the sex scene and have nudity in the romance arcs, then it is not a win-win for heterosexual males who do not want to see it.

Don't count on it, some people won't be happy untill all nudity is removed or censored entirely

There is literally no way for them to make every person happy about every aspect of the romances. There are just going to have to be some things that you make do with. The question is what are you willing to deal with. It's not ideal, but you can't seriously expect them to offer a romance that is tailor made to every player's preferences.

Mind pointing out who these people are, or are you just painting with a really wide brush?

If you're referring to the nudity apparently in DAI, no, not really. Like I said, I favor fade-to-black. I don't need boobs and butts to tell me romance is going on.
But it's not a deal-breaker for me. I'm not demanding its removal, I am not preaching hellfire and brimstone, Nor am I dressed as a Pilgrim. Nor is anyone else on this thread that I have seen. Though there are plenty of accusations of such.

Thats how some people in this thread & the last nudity thread that got locked are acting like, with a "I don't like nudity therefore no one else should be able to see it either" attitude. If you don't like nudity then tbh, that's your own personal problem & not BioWares, id rather see nudity instead of characters having sex then immediately getting fully dressed or underwear magically appearing when they speak afterwards.

I was just saying that if the romances that don't require it are spread out so that every person has at least one as an option, then at least the disappointment is minimized. If not, then you saying it is a win-win for everyone is false since there would be people in a lose-lose situation.
As for having to make due, don't worry. I've had to make due with nothing but bad things my entire life. Can't break what is already broken. I was just hoping that something comes up my way every once in a while, even something as minor as an aspect in a video game. But clearly I don't have such fortune.
Actually, with something as divisive and specific as this, yes I can. Maybe not tailor made, but with 8 romance options there is definitely room to cover all the bases about this.

I desire them as an accompaniment to the romance that has no reason to be censored.

I don't think this is quite so divisive, per se; there seems to a consensus in favor.

Can you provide evidence to support the claim that a penis = an automatic AO? I've never seen that in any ESRB materials, GTA IV had a penis and was rated M. I have it on pretty good authority that this statement is incorrect, but I'm wondering what your source is.
It's just my experience. I didn't play GTAIV so I wouldn't know, but I assumed since I never saw one in any game.

What about people who want devoutly religious LI's? Using your logic, shouldn't they also have LI's? And what about atheists? So now for both males and females, there needs to be straight, gay, bisexual, asexual, demisexual, nude, non-nude, religious, atheist, etc. etc. love interests. It just can't work that way. Some things have been given priority by the devs, but not everything can be.
If there is literally nothing that "come up your way" in relation to this game, then perhaps it's not the right game for you, which is a shame after seeing you spend so much time on the forum for the past months. It seems to cause you a lot of stress and if, at the end of the whole process, you aren't even going to enjoy the game, I'm not sure it seems worth it.

Violence = Good.
Sex = OMGSOBADANDEVILOMG.
Murrica.
oh look, that's exactly what I was talking about ![]()
I'm certainly not saying sex and nudity are bad and evil, I'm saying they tend to be embarrassing and badly done in video games, it's pretty much never done in an equal manner, and I could live without the smutty fanfic area of fandom taking over.

I was referring to just nudity or no nudity, not romances in general. With 8 romances, they could have it players have access to nudity, or fade to black, or illusion of nudity, etc. Though to address your post yes eventually everyone's desires, barring things society views as criminal, should be shown in their games. Maybe not on a game by game basis, but as a franchise it is very much doable. If not, then there shouldn't be any at all since then everyone is equal at zero. As for not getting the game, regardless of how many things, big or small, I may not like about it, I still like it more since it is better than real life so is still a good escape.

That's wanting everyone to be happy, and it will never happen. By default, romance between adults = sex, and it's cool that Bioware makes exceptions but wanting it for every single orientation starts a slippery slope of excessive representation for its own sake, which I do not want at all. Don't want sex or nudity, don't romance anyone.

I think that this is the way to look at it. You've had numerous romances that have no nudity in them across this franchise. In fact, up until this game, you've had every romance in the franchise with no nudity.
Yes, I agree that it would be wonderful for everyone to see their interests represented. It's just not realistic to expect all of your interests at the same time or only your interests, which is how it's coming across in this thread. You have had many non-nude romances. There are likely non-nude romances in this game. So you have had it go your way in this respect.
The people who have wanted nudity haven't had this yet and they aren't getting this in every romance in this game either. I'm not sure why everyone can't just be happy for each other on this. If you want nudity? You got it. If you don't? You got it.

They literally have to do it for just two characters for it to work: Josephine and The Iron Bull. If those characters didn't have nudity, or even just the option not to have it without missing content, then everyone has an option for that if they want.

So because I think the "everyone-wears-underwear-all-the-time-even-whilst-banging-in-the-middle-of-camp-in-front-of-grandma-and-the-dog" thing is absolutely laughably horrible, that means I'm not in the "smutty fanfic area of fandom"?
Sure okay.
The romance scenes in DAO and DA2 are horrible. Just absolutely terrible.

There are eight romances in this game. There is no excuse for not the varying ways to have the sex scenes other than Bioware didn't want to and put it in for all even knowing some fans wouldn't like it. And that is a very disturbing answer for a company that is all about the fans like they paint themselves as.
I'm not expecting only my interests in this game, especially not all at the same time. But I have zero, let me repeat, ZERO of my interests in this game. And how do you know there are some that don't have it? If you are referring to those ones where the scene can be skipped but the romance continue, people still have to skip probably very important parts of the subplot because of that, especially with the pillow talk scenes we know happen due to the Cassandra picture.
I am sincerely happy for those who want it. Honestly, good for them.
On the other hand, I'm not going to wear a fake smile about this. "False tears bring pain to others. False smiles brings pain to oneself."

Except for anyone who wishes to have nudity with one of them specifically. As I do in Josephine's case.
