The upload speed kills me. And it's the ping that makes you have lag. The upload speed sometimes but it doesn't use more than a few KB/s.

Those numbers are easily good enough for ME3MP.

I think the MP experience is mainly host-dependent, even if you had a DSL connection, you could still enjoy the game on a near-by host.

Also, your geographical distance to the fragile EA servers really matters B) .

We're really doing this?

Ok...

In this context, choosing a test server that's at least in a different state/country would give more realistic ping results for everyone, methinks. Like so:

Yeah, that sounds more like it.

Liked for Wing Commander.

As for me:

Down 8.85

Up      0.66

Ping    32

Dunno if they're "good enough" or not, but I do notice that PUGs rarely stay longer than a wave or two when I host.

/shrug?

I only host if I'm on a kit that really benefits from it, although this connection is miles better than the one I had previous.

That reminds me of my "home-box" time - prepaid 3G usb stick from an ISP. It cost like 30$ for 500 MB :pinched:

I'm assuming you're NOT on Comcast Cable then?

If yes, have you considered 2 tins and a bit of string tied between them?

I've played a few games before tethered to my cell phone. Wasn't too bad, considering.
