Do Steam have a localised Israeli site? If not & they let you purchase from the NA site then they seem to be the exception.

I work in an American company (in Europe) and have been to a number conferences and things with other American companies and the norm is to have Israel as part of the EMEA region for business reasons and give them the EU version of the site.

Steam lets me purchase in USD and not forcing me to use Euro.

Also that's not the issue here.

The big issue is how some versions of the game gets through the vpn to the early pre-load while others can't get it.

It's very annoying while not only paying more then others for same product but also get it after everyone else.. really makes me re think the whole pre order thing...

The whole point is get the game ASAP and not wait days after the release date...

It's not like we have shortage in good games this days if I knew it will be such an hassle I could re think this whole shenanigans and just purchase some "GOTY" version in few months for less cash then I paid.

Nope, EA refunded the first bugged one.

Hmm did you get any notification that your Origin order was bugged then? ;)

Also with all due respect we live in the 21st century, the main distributing of video games is via digital downloads.

When you offer people pre -order on digital store  we expect to get access to the game as soon as it available for anyone worldwide and not wait for days while other people got access... it makes no sense.

While I understand and empathize with your frustration, the bolded part is wrong.

Physical copies are still the major distribution for AAA titles.

And the publishers are generally unwilling to upset their major distributors by allowing another distribution point to take priority. So, physical and digital gets released on the same day in their regions.

I posted on the EA support forums about the "processing" order status despite my account being charged already. An EA rep wrote to contact live support. So that's what I did. I asked to have my order status set to complete, but since that apparently isn't possible in their automated system (at least not by support) they cancelled the preorder and asked me to order it again. Which I did....just... elsewhere    This cost me the pre-order bonus though, but I can live without.

As you are aware I'm overdosed with hype for this game.

Due to reckless release of stupidly epic trailer, amazingly fun to watch streams and overall epic bioware work i'm in a "NEED NAW!" status. So after paying more then others seeing people able to pre load before I can do it basically feels like being bullied in the playground.

Heat vented.

The less contact I have with EA the better I feel. I'm going to leave it at that. Next time I'll order somewhere else from the start.

Unfortunate but true. I only buy DA on origin though, so that's one game every couple of years at most.

All the spoilers floating around on the internet at release is why I want to play the game asap. I don't want to be searching for some DA related thing on the internet only to find a bunch of spoilers on google search results.

I don't think I can do the same thing as you though, since I bought it with a paysafecard and I think that is not refundable. So I'm stuck at waiting. Hopefully I'll have it on saturday or sunday.

Worst case we need to wait until monday (17th) and see if we can pre load the game.

There are a lot of people with the same processing problem, I suspect EA will activate them all at once on Monday during normal business hours  :(

So lets get the facts...

Pirates will get the game via torrents and play with no trouble at all starting tomorrow.

I'm just wondering where you got this fact from. As far as I know, DAI will be using Denuvo DRM, the same DRM used on FIFA 15 which has been out for over a month and has not yet been bypassed. I mean, Denuvo will probably be eventually bypassed but it is new and holding up for now. But why would DAI be bypassed ahead of FIFA?

Well that was against EA's terms of service. So if they get caught doing that they'll be banned.

People have been using other stores to buy games from Origin since forever, not seen anybody banned yet, makes no business sense to cut off a large revenue stream for themselves, they might look at ways stopping it going forward but banning people, can't see it happening. Limiting the people using Origin when their goal is to increase its usership would be beyond idiotic.

EA doesnt care about other stores. They do care about people (apparently) buying the game from their store but in a different region to the one they are in

By other stores I mean other regional Origin stores.

They care so much they have allowed it to go on for years? Like I say, they could have banned thousands already for doing it, they haven't and I see no reason why they would start now, if they want to stop it they'll start region locking their games or upping the price in foreign stores.

Is there anyone from NA that has their order still say processing or all of you from Europe/Australia? Because I believe your Origin order doesn't change to "complete" until the preload becomes available in your region.

Europe, uk and maybe some Australians?

It's hard to feel any sympathy to people who got the game cheaper in a different store to their region and can't yet pre-load.

What about if somebody bought it when on holiday some place?

...and yeah curse those terrible people giving EA their hard earned money direct instead of picking the game up for almost the same price from some Cd Key site or in the bargain bin in a couple months.

I paid full price on the uk store when I could have instead used VPN to buy it cheaper (which maybe I should have).

That is why I don't buy online. Problem is though that I have to wait until tuesday morning at 12am to download, patch and play.
