Hi my old PC broke down and had to get rid of it, stupid as i was i didnt remember that had one of the discs for Origins still on that PC and now its gone...will i still be able to play Inquistion or does it require Origins?

 

Atleast i had transfered one Char in to the keep...

I'd imagine Inquisition only requires a disc for Inquisition, as it is a wholly separate game. Wouldn't be very fair to newcomers to DA otherwise.

SINCE WHEN do sequels require the original game in order to play?? Where on earth did you get that idea?

 

Honestly, no offense to the OP, but I could feel my brain melting as I considered this insane concept. To answer your question: No. You most certainly do not need Dragon Age: Origins in order to play Dragon Age: Inquisition, two completely different games. Did you think Inquisition was some kind of DLC for Origins? That's the only rational explanation I can find, and even that idea is ridiculous.

I stand corrected. Someone said that "Origin" was a bad name for the EA system last year for exactly this reason, and I didn't believe him.

If you've got your Origins CD key you could even put than in Origin and be able to play that game without the key.

The EA Origin client doesn't have a physical disc, though, it's all digital...
