Not done loading mine yet. But I'd guess so, the soundtrack is just music, nothing to spoil here really.

Yes the soundtrack is playable. It's also in lossless (wav) format, which is always nice to see with a digital soundtrack.

If y'all want goosebumps, I advise listening to 'Calling the Inquisition.' Dear Maker that was awesome.

Such a great song. I almost cannot handle the last forty or so seconds of that song, my goodness.

There is something conspicuously Jeremy Soule about that track--and that's an incredibly good thing. When they said Inquisition was inspired heavily by Skyrim, they weren't kidding. I'm also getting a very nice "V for Vendetta" vibe in the 1:00-1:11 mark.

I wouldn't say the song is heavily inspired by Skyrim (drums and war are common) and I've played the game 1200 hours and heard lord knows how many renditions of the songs in the game. I'm not arguing the opinion so much as believing the song stands on its own without too much comparison. It is beautiful.
I suppose it is in the ear of the beholder.

I make the comparison because this track is very unlike most of the Dragon Age series' music thus far, sounding as if it shares more DNA with the haunting orchestral brilliance of Jeremy Soule's work on the Elder Scrolls and Guild Wars games. It's meant as a most sincere compliment (I happen to be a big fan of Soule).
Even failing that, there's no doubt "Calling the Inquisition" has a great "V for Vendetta" flair--specifically this track:

As for possible inspirations...the little vocal bit at the beginning of 'Calling the Inquisition' almost sounds like something from Lisa Gerrard to me. That's certainly not a bad thing either.
