I thought I would take a rest from working on the Bomb Beasts and do something for this month's ccc instead. So I thought I might do a little bit of graffiti for it. The trouble is I seem to have run out of ideas for serious slogans. I seem to be doing alright when it comes to humorous ones so I just need a little help with the text of serious slogans for fantasy (i.e. no obama/clinton/bush/gore etc.). Can anybody help please. The more the merrier, but I will have editorial control as to which (if I am lucky enough to have any responses to this) ones I convert to placeables.

Thanks for any help.

You could use these as inspirations.  Our world has changed but it's graffii hasn't.

Don't drink the water!

Water ahead

Abandon hope, all ye who enter here

Trap ahead!

I'm watching you . . . I see you.

Who are the Renkers?

Orcs 5, Adventurers 0

Clerics are spell beggars.

Mages wear dresses

Barbarians . . . ah forget it they can't read.

Can't we all just get along?

Free at last!

Rescued after 37 days, by adventurers from town

God help me, I'm lost

Help me!

Watch for falling rocks in the big room

Don't eat the gruel.

If you can read this, you're standing on my grave

There's some interesting graffiti on the walls of Pompeii...

Back in the day I would tag all my school desks with this...

I would be honored if someone graffitti-ed part of their module with this.  Not to mention the fact that you actually made it available for them to do so. ;)

Only if scrawled in blood and hidden away, like in Portal

Naturally though, the most important one to put in:

Tunnel Snakes rule!

If you don't mind pilfering from Games Workshop, Warhammer orcs and 40K orks have all manner of cool slogans and glyphs.

Have you examined the idea of theater bills or advertisements for magical products?

Thanks for all the great ideas guys. @ 3RavensMore & @rjshae I love those ancient Roman ones. @MDA Image grabbed and will be included. @ Jedijax, sorry that reference is lost on me. @Mecheon Are the Tunnel Snakes you reference the same as in the Pern books by the late Anne McCaffrey and her son Todd? @ Pstemarie thanks for the links. I may adapt the quotes but the glyphs look like they are worthy of a project of their own at some future date. @MerricksDad I deliberately chose to not go down that route as I would consider it a step too far in the self-promotion stakes. That is because by using my Micro Maps 2 package, anyone can do it. They can create up to 11 unique posters and all they have to do is supply the images bundled in a hak file.

"The cake is a lie" comes from the game Portal. The computer Glados promises the PC some cake when the testing is over, but actually intends to murder the PC. If you explore, you might find "The cake is a lie" written in blood on a wall.

While searching for things to turn into graffiti, I came across one quote that, if what we are told in the UK is true, shows that nothing changes. The quote is by an American author by the name of Ambrose Bierce, author of The Devil's Dictionary (1842-1913). This author apparently vanished in Mexico in the latter year mentioned, never to be seen again. Anyway, the quote is ->

"War is God's way of teaching Americans geography."

It's true enough; the U.S. is a large country and (at least when I went to school) students spend a good deal of time just learning internal geography. I learned much of what I know about world geography through personal studies of military history. The Brits have that extensive colonial history to lean upon. ;)
