One thing I always want from a sandbox game is to alter it permanently. Can my inquisition slaughter a village? Save a village from demons and prevent a permanently destroyed town (or one that later gets rebuilt?)
Does anyone know if there is any world-affecting decisions/quests?
Will there be any permanent world changes?

They said you can over hunt an area of animals, and you can also clear out bandits and set up things so that they don't come back.

For the animals they mentioned that if you wipe out all the animals in an area in time they will return in time. It would hurt the crafting system if the items needed for crafting ran out.

I remember reading that there are things like this...raising bridges that had fallen a long time ago, to open up new places, but the one that struck me was the fact that you had a lake where a fishing village was and could make a decision that was pro-you, or pro-them. This would then impact that whole map and situation forever. I hope this isn't a spoiler, but there are definitely world-changing things everywhere, by the sound of it.
EDIT: I also read somewhere you could hunt animals too much, or pick too many of a plant, and NEW species would replace them as dominant.
EDIT 2: This isn't a Spoiler, as I have no idea where, or it being central to the story - it's just a yes/no choice....there was mention of a village where they fish to support themselves. You know there's a dungeon beneath the lake....choice is drain lake (village 'dies', but you gain entry to a dungeon below it), or leave it alone (village happy). That's a nasty one, as you must really toy with the result....who wants to miss a dungeon/loot opportunity less than a village being displaced? So tempting....and naughty.
