people keep saying it will get cracked eventually. well, FIFA 15 and Lords of The Fallen are both using this Denuvo DRM and neither of those have been cracked.

as long as the DRM doesn't cause any problems for normal use why would you care? because you're pirates.

like, why would people on welfare oppose drug-testing to get their checks? because they're drug users.

i have heard many complaints about Denuvo causing problems for legal gamers with Lords of The fallen but I haven't seen any link to any concrete evidence or facts at all. of course, if it is causing problems then it's a ****** idea. but, if not then it's a great idea.

What a disappointment.  I'm not buying this on PC, now.  I'll rent it for my PS4.  You'd think the developers and publishers would realize that DRM always eventually gets cracked.  All this does it put a burden on the gaming experience of legitimate customers.

This has no effect on the game, just the exe to prevent tampering. You are pretty much admitting you were just going to pirate it and now that you can't you don't want to play it anymore.

You assume too much.  I've never pirated a game in my life.  I just don't like DRM, period.  I also am going to wait to see if they release any toolkits for modding, as I like to make and install mods to lengthen the life of the vanilla game, but I've heard the engine (Frostbite 3?) is very hard to mod.

90% of the people whining in this thread are indeed pirates who are enraged because they can't play the game for free.

Great. Denuvo is already working.  ^_^

Asking legitimate questions and whining is not the same.
And what's with the generalizations lol? You are whining about DRM so you are a pirate?

Whatever, I don't really care what you think. My questions remain.

That's a stupid statement. There are plenty of people who've had very bad experience with DRM, and Bioware's inclusion of this could mean there will be more problems.

I personally think we need to know what it actually DOES before we villify it.

Fifa 15 uses Denuvo and runs perfectly fine.

It is stupid to keep on whining when there isn't a problem.

Whether it's stupid or not to whine, calling people who whine pirates is completely stupid. Ubisoft is that you?

I feel this isn't right. Why wasn't this announced much earlier? But few days prior to release where everyone have pre-ordered?

Are you stupid or just ignorant? You are just guessing like everybody else what it actually does and how exactly it affects performance. The Fifa 15 runs perfectly fine argument is just ridiculous, runs perfectly fine compared to what?

Because it's a non-issue. People have ignored the developer's own words in this very thread, choosing instead to freak out over nothing.

Well, without piracy I would probably never bought a dozen of games, including those from BioWare...

Please provide a developer's quote where it says it doesn't affect performance.

I am thinking about canceling my preorder as well.

Just out of curiosity, are those of you who are "thinking about" cancelling your preorder doing so with the intent of later pirating the game? If the answer is yes, then you're the reason we have DRM.

It is mostly pirates just freaking out, because they have to buy the game in order to play. They are trying to make an issue out of something which isn't a even problem.

Excuse for bad English.

Technical support of Fallen Lords confirmed to me that denuvo can destroy the operating system.
But the option is similar to the protection of a good idea? Well I got my money back but...
Why punish paying customers? I have to cancel the order DAI? Okay.

EA must realize that this way is not the way.
DRM will still broken.

It doesn't make any sense to preorder the game and upon realizing it has the so far unbreakable protection to decide to cancel my preorder with the intent to later pirate the game, lol ?! Just out of curiosity let me ask you a question. When the game eventually gets pirated and the protection gets cracked, historically the probability of this happening is about 100%, why does the "pirate" get to enjoy the game without a DRM clogging performance and the ones paying for the game does not?
