Haha, sliders or no sliders, this absolutely helps a ton - I've been wanting to play an elf and this really seals it for me, I've been terrible at figuring out how to make one look to my preference. So thank you for the comprehensive tutorial on how to make an awesome elf-lady!
I'm going to put the kettle on and then go try this out in game. I definitely know how the rest of my night is going to be spent now! : D
I wonder if this image helps people out a bit too. I remember learning this stuff in art class during my youth.

Since this is a CC and not an actual drawing, most of the work is already done. But this might help folks see how to map eyes to ears or eyes to corners of the mouth - just in case they get stuck in CC. Using this as a template, people can line everything up and then make further adjustments to the character's face. Like, for example, maybe they want the eyes to be spread farther apart, but they want to maintain the face's balance. So, to maintain a proportionate face, that means that adjusting for a wider mouth may be necessary. ![]()
Here is Naella!

My bow wielding dude elf.
I wanted to make something less boyish than the norm.
Here is my attempt. (first attempt actually)
Nice. He sort of looks like a guy I know, especially in that first pic.
Mine is decidedly more boyish. xD

Hi all!
This is my first post to the forums, so advanced apologies if my image links don't work/are oversized/are undersized/any other issues.
I've just emerged from my first playthrough bubble and for my second playthrough, I wanted to take a look at these image forums and see what's what with character creation. Definitely a lot of amazing stuff on here! I'm especially impressed with the people who are making good male elves, which I'm finding challenging.
I also wanted to see if anyone had some input for me on which of the following two rogue characters I should choose to continue my playthrough with. The elf is Davigan, and the qunari is Aandras.
I embraced the boyishness for the male elf, it was too hard to fight it. I have him the fivehead crop cut to contrast it a bit. He's pretty, and I like him a lot, but the noodle arm drives me craaaaaazy!!!!! Not really enough exclamation points for how loud I want to say that.

That last screenshot is just for kicks - I like the quote.
For my qunari, I really wanted to go against type, and thought it was easier to do so than with the elf. So I made him almost human looking, but kept it qunari with a giant chin. He's also slightly albino, snarky, and has the British accent instead of the American. I thought it would contrast well visually and personality-wise if I ended up locking horns with iron bull later, chuckle.

So which one do you think? I'm pretty equally torn. Thanks for taking a look!!
Here's my human warrior Emma

OMG i want that elf *_*
Okay I am officially done. I spend hours just playing around making look-alikes and I am done... For now. Should really beat the game though. Anyway, I wanted to make some look-alikes for Jack, Samara, and Miranada from ME. They are definitely no spot-on, but I thought I would show you guys and girls what I managed to make.
PS: What is with my computer stretching the pics?!
Miranda: Now the tricky thing about her was the actual facial shape in general. I played ME on the xbox360, so I thought that was how the character looked. But then I saw a comparison photo between xbox and ps, and saw that there were slight differences overall to her facial shape (have no idea why that is). So I thought to use the Yvonne's picture. NOPE! With all the photo shopping and angled pics, its a little hard to tell how dominant her facial shape is. Kinda sucks cause Yvonne's is just gorgeous. It also sucks that there aren't any good hairstyles for this face shape, since all of them cut of her forehead or make her face thinner.
Jack: Okay, so I posted this pic before but I thought to group them together. Jack's is the only one I am super happy with, aside from the slightly different nose and lip shape. Just wish that the shaved hairstyles didn't look like crap.
Samara/Morinth: Okay, I was advised be someone to use Rana's pics as a reference, but seriously, there are no pics that actually show her face from a straight angle! The pics are beautiful but dangit, I need a reference! Anyway, the pics I used were of course from the game, so it doesn't look exactly like Rana. The most difficult part was getting her jawline to lay right. I literally had to shift the entire face down just to get that very angled square jaw. Took me forever to figure it out. Personally, I like this face with darker tones and bright eyes, but I also put up a pick to show what she may look like with the available hairs and brows. GD, it is literally the bottom of the barrel. I least I got the teeth showing part right. Too bad no freckles.

More images of my mage Inquisitor...I spent more than an hour on Cc for him...I wanted an handsome, strong and kind character.
I'm so proud... ![]()

I think both are amazing, but there is something about Davigan that I like more.
As for my Lavellan, Lytha is fast becoming my favorite playthrough. I am an elf convert now. Some more pictures of her:

Like a boss.
Here is my latest Inquisitor
really do love how he turned out, he took way too long, mostly because I couldn't decide between green, blue or purple eyes xD

This one!
I'm partial to elves in Inquisition so I'm definitely biased haha. I haven't tried rolling for a male elf personally, but if what people say about them is true (that it's difficult to make a decent looking one), then pat yourself on the back, because he looks great. Good job!
Here's my two-handed warrior Ezra

And my elven lovelies Ellana and Mahanon (I quite liked their names so I let them stay)

I think your elf is great! Boyish but still not overly feminine. I like it! Your qunari is good too but I would go with the elf, haha.

Yay for more pretty elf boys!! I personally had no trouble making one myself but that's just me *hugs icon* And because I'm biased I like your elf a lot more than your qunari, but truthfully he looks good as well. So good job on them both! And welcome to the forums! ![]()

My 2nd Playthrough . i love how he looks like an *******, because that's what he is supposed to be ![]()

I think you like Davigan more because he's like your Inquisitor's twin brother! Clearly we have the same taste in hair/skin/eyes/general appearance ![]()
Thanks to everyone for your responses to my post! I'm going to continue on with elven cutie Davi (at least for now). It's hard with a second playthrough... I keep feeling like I'm cheating on my first inquisitor.
