Anyone feel like me that the hardest race to make them look real or looking good is female human? Even Qunari is easier to make them look good...
Here's Kate Harper. Soldier and scout with a soul of steel and fire. Very protective of her soldiers. Too protective, in fact, as she will often pass up tactical opportunities or even put herself in harm's way to keep her people safe.
She's actually based off of an RPGMaker project I scrapped some time ago. I liked the character a great deal, so some version of her now makes an appearance in almost every game I play.
I was very pleased with her playthrough, as the overprotectiveness and pseudo self-destructive streak (in the sense of endangering herself and by extension the Inquisition) wasn't actually planned. It grew naturally out of the story and actually felt like the character had a life of her own at times.
Disagree. I feel female humans have the most variety. I just wish there were more hairstyles across the board.
I guess it depends on who you ask. I think most human females posted here look the same, as do male qunari. They've got a pretty generic cookie cutter look to them.

I think that has to do more with the player's expectations than the capabilities of the CC. My stable of Inquisitors is fairly diverse when it comes to looks, if not quite as diverse as I'd like. I think my M!Trevelyan is my most 'generic' character, but my other Inquisitors all seem to vary from the so-called 'generic' Inquisitor look.
Some people don't have the time or inclination to invest in learning the CC. When they achieve a character that to them is good looking/pretty/acceptable, then they run with it. And that's fine. Then there are those people who have a vision and won't let go until that vision is met. That's also fine. Me, I tend to work from references for inspiration, and I just play around until they feel like what I wanted when I picked the reference, even if they don't LOOK like the reference. And that's also fine.
And, like you, I think each player who does invest in the CC will tell you a different answer when you ask 'which is the hardest race' tbh. Mine changes every time I open the CC, I think.

The problem for me isn't making good faces ("good" not necessarily being supermodel) but that a lot of faces that look fine animate atrociously. You can do a lot with the CC, but my two elves ended up being exceptionally similar because I finally found a combo that animated well.
I expect that might have something to do with the sameness.

Only issue I have in the CC with human female is getting her nose just right...that takes the longest for me.
Also does not help the lighting is not all that great. :/

I'm sure that's true too. My bf spent very little time making his male qunari. But I also think female humans have slightly less options. Qunari and elves have ear and horn options, which humans don't have.
It could also be that human is the most popular race, and since I see so many, they end up looking the same due to their sheer numbers.

Yes. I use those scenes in Haven (talking with Cass as she slays the dummies, and that creepy smile the quizzie gives to Cullen) as my "tests" for whether this character will actually be RP'ed.

Dumah. Odd elf who does not believe in the Religious nature of Andraste but plays along in order to manipulate the masses to his own devices. What are his plans? Time will tell.
I only just started playing for the first time tonight so its still early. I wanted to make a darker haired elf, but funnily i found the "natural" colors too vibrant and cartoon-y. Pretty happy with him so far.

This shot I like to describe as, "How much did I smoke?" since she just has that look on her face. I'm so glad I brought Solas, he was really handy in the Fade.

I think Human males are the hardest to make. I haven't been able to make one yet that I can bring myself to actually play.

Opposite for me 
Can easily make a variety male human due to many option in CC. But for female human, I lost count on how many characters I deleted.

and finally I tried to make a decent looking male elf - which is imo very difficult. Either they look, childish, young or creepy
But I think Thelumiel Lavellan isn't that bad - at least he looks manly

I finished the game on sunday, and since that day i'm trying to make a mage human to play in nightmare. But I can't make a decent one.
