Are u using the FoV aswell? Or just the num pad to move camera closer? If you go to close with the num pad camera you move into ur chars head sort of So to get extremly close you need to use Page up / Page Down (FoV settings) aswell. (This if ur using Dai Cinematic Tools)

I need to get to the Emporium, now that it's out, and mess around with some of my other characters' appearances in the Mirror. I'm hoping the mod manager is working again because I'd like to play through with a few retexture mods.

How are people taking extreme closeups with the free camera? Every time I get close to my character, his/her mesh disappears.

I don't have any camera mods, so here are some of the tricks I use, sometimes in combination with each other. 

• I move to a point where I can move no further in one direction. A low wall or something is stopping me. One location is near Solas' hut in Haven.
• I pause and try to remember to set HUD option to always off. I really hate the menu and other icons getting in the way of my pic.
• I bring the camera in as close as I can, when my quizzie disappears, I incrementally rotate around her/him. Frequently that gives me a good closeup of a slight profile. If I find the right distance but not the right direction I unpause, turn him/her, and try again.
• Out in the field with my people, I'll pause and switch to other companions and move the camera around to see if I get a good pic. Again, if the group can't move in one direction, it helps.
• In battle, I'll do the same as above to try and get good action or fx shots.
• During cutscenes I have my finger ready on the PrtScrn button and mash, hoping at least one shot will be good. Sometimes I can even hold it down and get several shots with minute intervals between. Plays havoc with your lag time, though, LOL.

Hope this helps. Oh, and cropping before posting is a good cheat, too.

I've also found, that I need to be quick when just randomly running around.  Every so often as I'm turning, the camera will catch a highlight of my character's face or an angle to his frame and such, that I have to stop long enough to capture.  These can be incredibly random moments, mind you, but they're fun enough when you manage them.

 

And crop to fit, too!

New Mod Manager aaaaand known issues with Black Emporium. Also, the Increase Inventory Capacity mod continues to be broken. Still, the new Mod Manager is Patch 7 and DLC compliant, with a few caveats.

Really hope they add a CC Downloader since I've grown attached to my character and managed to break my game by making Cullen disappear forever. :/ Didn't notice for hours, and now any save that could take me back to before Sera's pranks are gone. Xp

So many more awesome Inquisitors since my last visit And of course I'm always happy to see more of Inquisitors who I already know xD

Sorry I don't have the time to comment but let my likes speak for myself!

 

In the last few days, I was engaged in a terrible battle against the BE and I somewhat managed to make my mods work with it, yay! So, of course, my dearest Evynnlen was the first to go! And it's absolutely not so I could grab her sliders, nope  

Being the Inquisitor took its toll on her and now, she's more mature and less naïve than she first was! Here are two pics of her, before and after the BE (I just changed her brows, hair and put less lips shine):
