Shouldn't the complexion slide age your characters?
From the videos I have seen no it doesn't; well it also does that but it mixes it with young and freckles among older and weatherworn complexition, so you can't go into it thinking left side equals young, right side equals old. E.g. young with freckles is to the far right
Sort of like the Scars section. It has X amount of scar type, and then it starts over and just combines scar types in certain combinations.

And depending on the skin tone, sometimes the freckles end up looking like really bad acne...

Wait, I thought that they said that there was no lore to set age and that we could roll a PC anywhere from 20-40 without it being immersion-breaking. Is that not the case?

Hm... Technically it IS as they said. But practically I somehow pictured that Trevellian a young mage, fresh after Harrowing. May be you are right and there is nothing wrong with 30 year old.

I have been clicking refresh on the UPS tracking page for the last hour. It's on a truck out for delivery. I just need to see that it's waiting at home so I can come up with an excuse to leave work early and get my hands on this CC.
