All right, I completed the Compendium, split across two different posts. I will keep these up-to-date with as many hair mods as I know about, so if you notice a hair mod you use missing, let me know. It also tells you which hair mods replace which original hairstyle so that you don't accidentally try to use two mods for the same base hairstyle for the same Origin/gender.

Please do it! It would be awesome to have everything gathered in one place. I have seen many good hair mods, but I haven't found any cool ones for short haired males, maybe you have something.

There are a few mods for short-haired males. Four come to mind: Short hair mod for male elf, Tousled hair for male human, Short undercut for male elf, and the Garrett Hawke hair mod for male human. There's also one for a nice re-do of a shoulder-length hairstyle for male elf.

 

For additional male mod haircuts, there's the half-ponytail overhaul, the fuller, longer ponytail, and the alternative sidecut as well - and all three work with all Dwarf, Elf, and Human Inquisitors.

 

Hopefully you can find something in there you can use!

I brought some update of my Trevelyans:

Thank you very much! I've been looking exactly for the Garrett Hawke hair mod, but for an elf. I hope someone will make it available for elves someday. But I will try out the ones you listed. Your compedium is really a great thing, thanks again!

If you have Tumblr, you could try sending the modder of the Garrett Hawke hair a request to port it for male elf. Even if you don't have Tumblr, you could send an anonymous message (i think). It's worth a shot!

Thank you, that honestly makes my day! I'm slowly figuring out the best way to take screenshots on console. The thing I'm jealous of PC for is all of the great cinematic tools available.

Too bad this hair isn't available for human females! This would be good for Rhiannon! I always envisioned her hair as an almost faux hawk.

There have been so many amazing Inquisitors posted lately, it's easy to run out of likes. So At risk of a ridiculously long post naming all of you, I just wanted to acknowledge everyone's contributions, and well done!  I always look forward to seeing updates here   And thank you to everyone who has liked or commented on any of my pics as well.

 

A friend and I were talking about DAI the other night and he pointed out that I only play humans (as if that were a bad thing lol). I told him I had a Dalish mage who I was quite attached too, but I decided to try making a race I wouldn't normally play. Now I have another playthrough to do...my alt-aholism is getting the best of me. Currently playing Templar, Riftmage, Archer and Dagger rogues all at differnent levels, it's tough to choose when it comes time to play hehe. Anyway Here's a few shots of Tavia. nothing special just from early cutscenes.

I don't think the lack of good hairstyles is a result of a lack of passion, I think its a lack of time and resources.

Gonna have to disagree. They had at least as much development time as previous games, which did hair better, and modders definitely don't have the resources the devs do. Either way, they apparently have a lack of taste, or a complete disconnect with what most people think is good-looking hair.

 

Edit: Just caught up. I'm so jealous of all those modded hairs!

Just recently finished the DLC featuring two of my Inquisitors. The first is Alessandra Trevelyan, Knight Enchanter Mage and Natalia's older twin sister.

The difference between them are their characters. Alessandra is a battle scarred, stern and conservative leader. If someone disrespects or lies to her, she’s unforgiving. She’s also a loner.

 

As for Natalia, she’s laid back, values her relationships, but also a strong leader. However, she's reckless sometimes (ie. leaping off of tall places to fight an enemy) and cracks terrible jokes much to her best friend, Cassandra’s dismay.

Nice! I haven't found anybody that works with that hair yet. I do have an IQ I haven't played or posted yet...someone asked for an Eva Green lookalike and I created a mage named Victoria. That style might work for her. I should post pics of her for you guys.

His name is Feynriel which is very close to my actual name and he's a rogue, because locks need picking and it just seemed to fit with the whole 'spying on the Chantry' thing for the Dalish elves.
