@Sylvianus Oh - thanks - makes me blush that you adore her so much.
and thanks for posting more Jaeghar / Jaheira
Background of Ivandra as requested :
With 6 Brothers and as baby-girl of the family she did refuse to act like a girl. Weapons, riding, hunting and act like a man was her goal. To play with dolls ?! Never. After some duels her parents did threaten her with marriage. Ivandra did just cut her hair and started to live more in the woods then in the castle of the Trevelyan's.
Her Grandparents love her, but not support her *manly* behaviour.
And her brother's are anyway jealous as hell, since she was in a lot of disciplines always better then the lazy bunch of the 6

She worked harder, trained harder, fought harder - and took all lovers aside she wanted to take ;P
But she has also a righteous believe in the Chantry and she hates lies. Being manipulated makes her even more furious.
Desperately her parents did send her to the conclave in the hope she would get some *sense in her brain* (like her mother would say) That went clearly wrong
So yes - she is more or less a man eater - not sure if Blackwall or our all beloved Knight Captain go through her shell

@settrah I can feel you - since I have my new PC it is even more awesome to play DA
@Bullywif
that gif !!!!!

Love her personality, love her background. This line made laugh : " And her brother's are anyway jealous as hell, since she was in a lot of disciplines always better then the lazy bunch of the 6 "
Ha ha !

Your gal seems to know what she wants, the proof being that she works harder than anyone else. She is obviously a strong woman. Strong and beautiful.
I really like how your background, as a noble, sounds really realistic by the way. I am obviously a sucker for realistic stories or backgrounds. Thank you ! I am glad I know more about her !

And I am always happy every single time I see a new pic of her.

And thanks for Jae and Jaheira.
I think those kinds of things (not overly pretty, roughness etc.) are really important factors when making realistic characters. That's not to say that pretty characters can't be realistic, or that they're not interesting (heck, I make 'pretty' characters all the time, you only have to do is look at my Gilthanas to see that) but sometimes the less 'ideally perfect' characters can lead to some really wonderful results.
For example, I just finished my visual arts degree last year and one of the mandatory classes I took for four years was figure drawing. We had about seven different models that would come in on different days, all of them different body types, and of all of them my favourite to draw was a heavier-set woman in her forties to fifties. I found drawing her to be much more interesting than drawing the couple of younger models we had with their 'perfect' bodies, and my drawings of her are some of the best that I think that I've done.
Just from the pictures you've posted of Aerek, I definitely see what you mean by his pointed looks. You've done a wonderful job of finding features that appear more mature and 'hardened' and his face really lends itself well to the expressions you get with the more assertive answers.
Thank you so much for the compliments on Siobhan. She's probably my most favourite face that I've made, and like you did with Aerek, I tried really hard to stay away from making her overly pretty. I RP her as very blunt and assertive but she has good sense of humour if she counts you as her friend. Her family raised her to be a devout andrastian and she does believe in the Maker, but she was never as devout as her parents would have liked, and instead of being the cultured, perfect lady her mother hoped, she would rather spend her time out hunting or fighting off bandits. The one thing Siobhan devoutly agrees with the chantry about is magic, and she would much rather pretend that the mages with all of they're weird magic didn't exist.
Woo…. sorry for the long post.
I enjoyed reading your post and the background. I agree with what you said. There is an example for me of a supposed overly attractive character that actually doesn't appeal to me at all, has zero effect on me, that I do not find interesting.
I've seen a few people talking about final fantasy drooling over her in another forum, and I was like... " but she looks like a doll... " Also, perfect nose, perfect features everywhere, flawless face, she is supposed to be overly attractive. And yet, she looks so fake and uninteresting to me. ( to each his tastes, it's just my opinion, it can be very beautiful and realistic for someone else, I'm aware of that ) So, yeah sometime, overly attractive can be very bad, or not necessarily the best or interesting in my opinion. Anyway, I feel the same for all the guys from final fantasy.
Also very unpopular opinion among the female players and especially the cullen fangirls, I find Cullen " too handsome and too generic " for his role in DAI, I have difficulties to take his design seriously, he looks like a mannequin, a top model, and not like a general of the inquisition to me, a templar who lived many horrible things in the past, which I quite dislike. It wouldn't bother me if he was just a prince or a noble, like Sebastian. Sebastian was supposed to be very attractive and it didn't bother me at all. But Cullen is a very experienced templar and our general. I prefered how he was in DAII, I really liked him. He was already very good looking but the design of his face really followed the concept. He had eyes shadow to show how he was a tortured man.
Here, an example of a very attractive man ( subjective opinion I know, ) with a great design that totally follows his concept and the way he is written, Iorveth in the witcher 2. Without even knowing his background, you can guess with his look that there is something tragic with him.
I really love Dorian's design, it is really great, for me and the man is very handsome
Sorry, I digress, it's just that your good post called the serious side of me. I'll stop right there !
tried to do a multiquote and got completely overwhelmed lol--ah, oh well!
@phyreblade: for some reason, I had always thought that a diplomatic inquisitor would appeal most to Cass, but now that I actually think about it..I completely agree with you! I also admire that you put so much thought into developing your inquisitors' personalities.
@Sylvianus: oh YES exactly, it feels like Christmas whenever I open the game! and Jaeghar and Jaheira are both absolutely incredible--so good-looking!
@Rascoth: I can understand that feeling--when/if I try installing mods I might end up doing the same haha! I waaas thinking about modding her.. but just her hair:p thank you for the compliment! And oo, that's exciting--I'd been reluctant to upgrade but the difference in graphics made it worth it haha!
@LadyAly: yes, it's great : D I really like Ivandra--she is beautiful
@Elista: you're very welcome, and thank you !
and bonus: a picture of June looking very concerned for no apparent reason

Thank you Settrah ! I think I already said it somewhere else, but I LOVE your June ! She is beautiful and she is unique ! Anyways, truth must be told, asian inquisitors are a BIG + 10 in my book !!
I absolutely love this thread, thank you so much for sharing your creations, some of them really stand out!
This is Sa'vunin, my mage quizzy. Nothing special really, but I like the outcome. I suppose Ori's soundtrack is to blame for her somehow excessive "whiteness" (it's very dreamy and sad and beautiful and white and dark, if that makes any sense to you xP), I literally spent hours listening to the damn thing while I was playing around with the character creator. Plus, I picture her as a very thoughtful and pondering person, one who enjoys listening to others and asks a lot of questions, so an aggressive look was definitely not what I was looking for.

A thoughtful and pondering person, indeed. She looks so nice, innocent and curious. Kudos : The result is really great, she is exactly like the concept you wanted to follow in my eyes. And really I know how it is difficult to follow a concept with the facial features, especially without being seducted by other things, especially conventional things that look good on your character but infortunately contradict your concept.
Jaheira was really difficult for me. I had to follow precisely what I had in mind and how I have written her, instead of just going with what I like the most in the character creator. For example, the hairstyle she has currently is not necessarily the best for her, or the most attractive, there is another probably better, but this hairstyle looks wild and slovenly on her head, which is what I want. Jaheira wants her hair to be long, cut on one side but at the same time, she never takes care of them !
By the way, I love the nose of your inquisitor, it's so cute. Your character is really cute.
@ Lylliaa : Hey, you !
Yeah, I'm back. And thank you for your kind words. =)
